Version 1:

Music conductor Song Yu returned to Hong Kong to prepare to marry his girlfriend Lihua, who has been in love for 8 years. During a performance, Song Yu suddenly had hallucinations. An ancient terracotta warrior just like him came to mind, and an ancient woman played with him. Yue Xiang, a jewelry designer, had the same dream, and neither of them knew who made it. It was not until they met at the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Exhibition Hall that they knew that the love of past lives had continued into this life. In 2000, Lihua didn't know how to face their love, and her girlfriend committed suicide in despair. Her last words were "eight years of love like 2000". In the drizzle, Zhou Helin faced another choice. Some people choose to repeat their fate, others choose to turn around and leave, and break up sadly.

Version 2:

This film tells a love story that has been reincarnated for 2000 years. When Song Yu (Chow Yun Fat), the chief conductor of the orchestra, visited the exhibition of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses, he seemed to have a feeling of deja vu. Coincidentally, Yuexiang (Brigitte Lin) is also visiting the Terracotta Warriors, and the same Terracotta Warriors seem to evoke some hidden secrets.

After they met, all their memories were quickly restored. It turned out that Yue Xiang, 2000 years ago, had been a double suicide for Song Yu at that time, so the two quickly recovered their old feelings and often got together to recall the past. Later, Song Yu's fiancee and wife committed suicide because they couldn't stand the blow, repeating the tragedy of Yue Xiang's suicide for Song Yu.

Version 3:

Song Yu and Yue Su never met, but they met Qin in a dream or illusion and fell in love. When we met in an exhibition of terracotta warriors, the passionate and shocking love was out of control. Through time and space, through past lives, through future generations. This film is an excellent literary film produced in Hong Kong in recent years. It is the fusion of Qin terracotta warriors and horses and modern love, and its attraction is extraordinary. The cooperation between Brigitte Lin and Chow Yun Fat, two big movie stars in Hong Kong and Taiwan, is even more striking. There are many similarities between the story of the film and Cheng Xiaodong's Love of Ancient and Modern Figurines, which obviously draws on the literary essence of the film. The whole movie is full of flashbacks of time and space and memory, mystery and fate. Both the picture and the music add sadness and tragedy, coupled with the wonderful interpretation of handsome men and beautiful women, it is indeed a classic film.
