Brief introduction of Jianhu lake

Jianhu Lake is one of the important plateau wetlands in Yunnan, located in the south-central Hengduan Mountains in northwest Yunnan, in Jianchuan County, Dali Prefecture, near the county seat. Jianhu Wetland Nature Reserve consists of Jianhu Lake, Yuhua Reservoir, watershed and its surrounding forests. The length from north to south is 12.3km, the width from east to west is 6.2km, and the elevation of the lake is 2186 m. It is a typical wetland in Yunnan Plateau and one of the most representative wetland types in northwest Yunnan Plateau.
