The 25th Shanghai International Film Festival was held in Shanghai from June 9th to18th, 2023. It was directed by the State Film Bureau and hosted by the Central Radio and Television General Station and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. On June 9, 2023, the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival opened in Shanghai. On the evening of June 17, the Golden Goblet Awards Award Ceremony was held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre. On June 18, the whole city film festival ended.

The Golden Goblet Awards International Film Competition consists of five units: Golden Goblet Awards Main Competition Unit, Golden Goblet Awards Asian Newcomer Award Unit, Golden Goblet Awards Documentary Unit, Golden Goblet Awards Cartoon Unit and Golden Goblet Awards Short Film Unit. The International Film Exhibition consists of China Contemporary Art Film Exhibition, Light and Shadow Wave, Hong Kong Film New Power, Honor to Masters, Science Fiction Film Week and so on 16 units.
