Chlorophytum lipstick, also known as creeping weed and safflower, is a perennial evergreen creeping herb flower of Gesneriaceae. Branches are about 20 cm long, angular, semi-prostrate, recumbent, and multi-branched after elongation. Leaves opposite ovate, slightly fleshy. The inflorescence is mostly axillary or terminal, which looks like lipstick, and the calyx is tubular, which is very similar to the cylindrical shell of lipstick, so it is called "lipstick chlorophytum". Its thick green leaves, together with the bright red and peculiar corolla, are deeply loved by people, and are among the best hanging ornamental plants in family rooms.
In addition to the strong light at noon in midsummer, adequate light should be given at other times of the year, especially in winter. Like a semi-cloudy environment, if the light in the place is too strong or insufficient, the leaves will easily turn pale green or yellow-green, lack vitality, lose their ornamental value and even die; If the sun is direct and the air is dry, it is most likely to cause burns, so it should be placed in a cool and ventilated place and pay attention to maintaining the humidity of the environment. Avoid continuous high temperature and humidity, poor drainage and ventilation will cause decay.
