How to set up Panasonic lx7 portrait to look good? I feel dark skin and a big nose.

My friend has a LX5. After consulting, I thought it was ok, so I decided to start with LX5. The zoom lens is convenient for travel and the picture quality is acceptable. The flagship in the card also has buttons for RAW and camera shooting.

LX5 was very disappointed after a week of trial operation. This color is not a little worse than Nikon 35 1.8. Although the image quality and noise reduction are acceptable, the only comfort is that the camera function is good. It seems that Panasonic is really just a home appliance manufacturer, and Nikon's technology in lenses and cameras is really much higher. After buying it, settle down and try to adapt. If D40X fuselage wants to become JPG directly, it needs to adjust the original factory settings.

After continuing the trial operation and online evaluation research, I feel that the biggest problem of LX5 is not the lens, but the white balance and color setting of the original factory. In the words of netizens, the photographer is "making faces", and the lens of Lycra D-LUX is not so serious. But after searching for a long time, there is no solution. Unlike D40X, LX5 has no hue adjustment function and no solution. My friend told me that he only uses LX5 RAW, but this kind of RAW from Panasonic is very strange. RAW+JPG colors are completely different, and JPG converted from raw does not have the same noise reduction as JPG. This is very different from Nikon, which may be related to Panasonic not having its own original software. The noise reduction of LX5 is good. RAW software is really slow and hard to use, and I don't like it either. At this time, Panasonic released an upgrade plan in September. Friends who saw the upgrade said that the white balance has been greatly improved after the upgrade. I am looking forward to it. Download and upgrade!

After the upgrade, the white balance has indeed improved, but it is not required to reach the level of 35 1.8, and even the color of iPhone can't catch up. I really don't know whether Panasonic is difficult or Panasonic is difficult. Continue to study white balance and color. Slowly discover the problem of LX5, first of all, white balance, taking pictures of scenery is ok, and taking portraits is a bit excessive. The white balance of LX5 is off color, and the automatic white balance is blue-green. Fortunately, the white balance of LX5 can be adjusted manually, and the settings can be saved. If you want to take a portrait without a grimace, please correct the automatic white balance. The method is to enter the automatic white balance, press DISPLAY to adjust, adjust 3 squares to the left, then adjust 2 squares to the red, and save the settings to exit. I took many photos myself to try this white balance. In the sun, it is ok if there is enough light. Friends who want to learn can adjust their settings and shoot their own style. According to this setting, the portrait of JPG is straightforward, at least the face is rosy, and the whole photo has been changed to warm tones. However, this method cannot completely solve the problem. Using RAW software to automatically adjust the white balance of the same photo is much more accurate than LX5 white balance, and there are few white balance scenes in LX5. If you throw away the light source, it's over. For example, if there is a lot of red background in the scene, the whole photo will be seriously red. There is no simple way to solve this problem. Either correct the white balance again before taking pictures, or adjust it with PS, and then say it after PS adjustment.

Although the white balance is corrected, the color is still on the edge, and the processing of RAW files is time-consuming. In addition, LX5 won't make a masterpiece, and RAW is a bit chicken-ribbed. Then why is the color on the side now? After the white balance is corrected by the above methods, only the problem of cold tone can be changed. There is still a difference between JPG straight out and actual color. The main problem lies in three colors. I really don't understand what happened to Panasonic's original factory settings. If you try the machine, you will find that LX5 encounters the most serious color cast of blue, pink and green. Relatively speaking, the color cast is less. This color cast cannot be changed by the internal settings of LX5, and I have no ability to edit the upgrade program myself. Try to use PS.

After PS adjusted the JPG of LX5 to orient the photo (white balance correction), it was found that the original film lacked yellow, so the blue in the original film would be lighter, and the dark blue photo would become lighter. Pink lacks yellow and blue is too much. Even the tender pink in the original film will become a black mess. Green is a little yellow, and the problem is not too big. If you understand the problem in this way and prescribe the right medicine, PS can solve the problem. When taking pictures, choose "Natural NA" as the film mode, and the saturation is+1, so the color will be stronger. I prefer something stronger. Then use PS(Photoshop abbreviation, I'm afraid I don't know the explanation of PS) to open the JPG original image of LX5, create a new adjustment layer (the button on the left of the new layer in the layer window), select "optional color ……", then enter the settings and select "Absolute" as the method. There is a color menu at the top according to the following settings.

Red (cyan -5%, magenta +5%, yellow -5%)

Yellow (cyan +5%, magenta unchanged, yellow unchanged)

Green (cyan unchanged, magenta+10%, yellow-10%)

Cyan (unchanged)

Blue (cyan unchanged, magenta unchanged, yellow +50%)

Magenta (cyan -20%, magenta unchanged, yellow +20%)

The remaining white, gray and black remain unchanged.

After setting, the photos in the preview have changed. This parameter cannot be completely consistent with the actual situation, but at least it is not so outrageous. Those who can use PS can also set their own batch program, and the JPG of LX5 can print photos directly, which can be solved by batch processing. If you are not satisfied, you can continue to adjust. The photo I adjusted is not in the picture, so I'd better try to compare the colors according to what I actually saw. I also adjusted the red color of this parameter, which means that the skin is a little beautiful, and the skin color will be rosy after repair. If you encounter the color cast of the whole photo, adjust the color balance.

In addition, finally, the noise reduction of the LX5 machine itself is good, and there is also this reason for choosing JPG straight out. People who take pictures with Nikon D40X always feel too clear, especially in the case of acne and wrinkles, but it will feel good to take pictures with LX5, haha. There may be some reasons why people in the studio don't like Nikon. The direct color matching of JPG of LX5 is completely completed by my trial machine. You can try it if you like. If there is a better way, please leave a message for those who like photography to enjoy.
