Night scene shooting skills
Night view mainly refers to the scenery under outdoor lighting or natural light at night, with lighting, fire and moonlight as the main light sources when shooting. Pay attention to 6 points when shooting:
1. Keep the atmosphere at night. At night, the light value is relatively low and the contrast of the scene is relatively large. If the sky is too bright or the light is too bright, it will turn night into day and weaken the atmosphere at night. Therefore, the exposure should be properly controlled. When shooting, we should consciously make the exposure slightly insufficient, generally reduce the normal exposure time by 1/3 or 1/2, or shoot when the street lamp is on.
2. Keep the real effect of lighting. The light source of night photography mainly comes from light, and it should show the lighting effect of light when used. For example, when lighting is near bright and far dark, this feature should be retained when using flash lamp to assist lighting. The brightness of the flash can be controlled by the aperture, and the original light can be felt at a slow speed, and the direction of the flash should be consistent with the original irradiation direction of the light.
3. When shooting street scenes at night, in order to render the traffic scene, you can use the method of long exposure to make the lights of vehicles sensitive on CCD for many times. At this point, the lights will draw a bright line on the screen. The number and direction of white lines on the screen can be controlled by the lens cover according to the requirements of composition. If the moving direction of the vehicle meets the requirements, the lens cover can be opened for exposure; If it does not meet the requirements, you can cover the lens cover, which is not sensitive. When shooting, fix the camera on the tripod, cover the lens cover, and then open the T door or the B door (the B door needs to be locked) and take off the lens cover for exposure.
4. Night photography can use one exposure or multiple exposures. One exposure is to fix the camera with a tripod, to control the opening and closing of the shutter with a long exposure and a cable release. Multiple exposures refer to more than two exposures in an electronic file. This method is often used when shooting outdoor lights at night. When it is not completely dark, make the first exposure, which is less than the normal exposure. After the light is on, make a second exposure. If necessary, multiple exposures can also be made. Be careful not to move the tripod during multiple exposures to avoid overlapping images.
5. When there is light on the picture, you can add a cross filter or a starlight mirror to get a radiant effect, or you can add a rainbow mirror or a constellation mirror to get a colorful effect.
6. The asphalt road or smooth ground in rainy days can show the reflection of buildings and lights. If the buildings near the seaside, rivers and lakes are photographed in the picture, the light on the shore or around can increase the brightness and outline the scenery due to the reflection of water.
Add color to your night photos, and use PS as a star mirror and stars.
Step 1: Open the night photo.
Press Ctrl+O (Cmd+O) to open the night scene photo.
Photos with lights or spots in the night scene are the best material to highlight the starlight, for the simple reason that the background in the night scene is generally dim.
Step 2: Copy the background layer.
Next, modify the photos directly. In order to keep the original appearance, you need to copy the newly opened photo (background layer) to the new layer.
The method is simple. Just press Ctrl+J (Cmd+J). When finished, the layer 1 will be created.
Step 3: Copy the layer again.
The shape of the starlight is "X", and the layer 1 is used to make the X-shaped star awn. You need an extra layer to make light in the "/"direction.
Press Ctrl+J (Cmd+J) again.
Step 4: Make starlight rays.
Select filter > from the menu. Blur & gt Motion Blur ... (Filter > Blur >; Dynamic blur).
In the pop-up dialog box, set the angle to 45 degrees. Distance is used to control the length of starlight, depending on the size and effect of the photo, as well as on the eyes. In this example, the value is 2 1 because it gives the best starlight length in this example.
Step 5: Set the top blending mode to light.
Lighten mode will be compared with the lower layer, and only the brighter parts, such as starlight, can be retained.
The first star awn gradually showed its edge.
Step 6: Make light in another direction.
Select the layer 1.
Select filter > from the menu. Blur & gt Motion Blur ... (Filter > Blur >; Dynamic blur).
In the pop-up dialog box, set the angle to -45 degrees. Note that it is a negative number. Distance is used to control the length of starlight, depending on the size and effect of the photo, as well as on the eyes. In this example, the value is 2 1 because it gives the best starlight length in this example.
A little more progress.
Step 7: Set the blending mode of the middle layer to bright.
As before, this time set the blending mode of the middle layer to bright.
Step 8: Merge the upper two layers.
In order to process the two layers of starlight synchronously, the top two layers of starlight are merged first.
Select the top layer (layer 1 copy) and press Ctrl+E (Cmd+E).
After merging, the picture remains the same, but the layers become as follows:
Step 9: Strengthen the starlight line.
Now that the starlight line is a little weak, you can sharpen the mask to enhance the light.
Select Filter > Sharpen & gt Blur Mask ... (Filter > Sharpen > Mask Sharpen).
Set the threshold to 0, the amount to 100%, and then adjust the value of the radius through the eyes until the starlight is obvious enough. Photos of different sizes need different values, and everyone needs to judge for themselves.
Note that when sharpening light, it will also sharpen other places that are not bright. However, you can use a mask to cover the unlit parts in the later steps.
The light level of clouds is starlight, so we need more steps.
Adjust opacity
Set the opacity of the layer 1 to 70% to make the light look more natural.
Step 1 1: Add a mask.
Click the Add Mask icon to add a mask to the layer 1.
Step 12: Black the non-starlight part of the mask with a brush.
The black part painted on the mask of 1 layer is like a hole, which can show the image of the next layer. Therefore, if the position of the non-starlight part is blackened on the mask, the original appearance can be displayed.
Press the D key to set the foreground color to white and the background color to black.
Press the X key again to switch the foreground color and background color, that is, the foreground color is now black.
Press b to select a brush.
Brush the non-starlight part back to its original appearance with a brush. When drawing, you can press the] key to increase the brush or [decrease the brush.
The red area indicates the area drawn in black in the mask.
You can see that the sky has returned to its original appearance.
Comparison between original drawing and finished drawing;
You can be a star in the future even if you forget to bring a star mirror!
