Appreciation of the original translation of Huang Tingjian's "Bitterness with Hearts"

It is a poem written by Huang Tingjian, a poet in the Northern Song Dynasty, when he moved to Rongzhou in his later years. The following is my appreciation of the original translation of Huang Tingjian's Complaining about One Heart, One Wave Moves Ten Thousand Waves. I hope you like it.

It's a good idea for Rongzhou to go to the scenic spot instead of singing the fisherman's wind to thank Jiangshan. Student: What's your family style? This chapter is written for Taoists in Jinhua.

Just one wave did not move, and Wan Bo followed, and the hat took the bait. The golden scales are deep, so must thousands of feet.

Throwing and swallowing, doubting the letter, taking the bait late. Jiang Jing in Shui Han is full of green hills and the moon is bright.

On the river, waves are breaking out one after another, and fishermen wearing hats and hemp fiber are fishing by the river. Fish is deep in the water, even if it is hidden in thousands of feet, we should catch it.

The fish swallowed the bait and spit it out again, hesitating whether to take the bait or not. When the fisherman came back, it was already Jiang Jing, Shui Han, with mountains and bright moons everywhere.

Complaint: the name of the epigraph, Tang Qu.

Jinhua Taoist: Zhang, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. A self-proclaimed smoker, he was born in Jinhua, Dongyang (now Zhejiang). He once wrote five songs "Fishing Song".

Su Li: refers to a fisherman wearing a coir hat.

Lín: refers to fish with shiny scales.

Distinguish and appreciate

The preface of "The Fisherman's Family Style in Song Dynasty, Xie Jiangshan" shows that the real motivation of writing is to express his psychological relief in the face of Jiangshan scenery, but this self-deception of free fantasy only shows the real bondage of reality to him.

The first part of the word "a wave only moves with the wave, a rope hook." This is a single hook map of the Hanshui River, with a blue sky and waves, a flat boat with a bamboo cloak floating on it, fishing between heaven and earth and deep in the abyss, hooking into the water, rippling everywhere, and accompanying it. This ethereal and free state makes people feel luxurious. The second sentence of "Golden Scale" is about the prosperity of fishing: the fish sank deeply and could not afford to sink. In order to get water and get gold scales, the fisherman did not hesitate to drop his silk below thousands of feet. At this moment, the fisherman's mind is empty, and he seems to feel the modality of underwater fish hovering around the hook.

The next movie "Swallow, Doubt, Late Hook" depicts the pleasure of fishermen swimming with their eyes closed. In this happiness, the fisherman raised his eyes and suddenly forgot the fish. The last three sentences render an ethereal and clear picture of Jiang Yu's return to the night: "Jiang Jing, Shui Han, is full of mountains and green hills, indicating the return of the moon." It embodies a carefree pursuit, highlights the quiet and distant realm of the fisherman, and goes with the flow without asking where to go, which is the highest realm that Zhang and Huang Tingjian yearn for.

The meaning of this word is to copy the poems of boatmen and monks in the Tang Dynasty, and to sublimate Zhang's unswerving, carefree and free fisherman's family style into a spiritual realm of detachment from the world, so as to show the poet's ambition and yearning for a free life after his relegation. The setting of the scene is symbolic, which is intended to imply behind the image. Especially in the last sentence "Shui Han Jiang Jing, full of mountains and green hills, carrying the moon home", he wrote the enlightenment of Zen with the transformation of the poet, symbolized the poet's consciousness and liberation with the wonderful scenery of nature, and changed from a saint's mentality to a saint's mentality.
