Mingsha

Located at the northern foot of Mingsha Mountain, 5 kilometers south of Dunhuang, Gansu Province, it is famous for its wonderful landscape of "mountain spring * * *, sand water * * *". Spring is like a crescent moon, hence the name Crescent Spring. It was called "CMC" in ancient times, also known as "medicine spring". The spring water is surrounded by Mingsha Mountain, but it is not covered by quicksand. It is always rippling, crystal clear, long rain does not overflow, long drought does not dry up.

Mogao Grottoes

The scenic spot, also known as the Thousand Buddha Cave, consists of the Mogao Grottoes Digital Exhibition Center and Mogao Grottoes, with a large number of murals, grottoes and cultural relics. The first thing to visit Dunhuang is to watch movies in the exhibition center, and then to see the large-scale and rich grottoes and mural art. There are Buddha statues and flying people everywhere in the cave, from sitting statues as high as nine floors to small bodhisattvas with a number of more than ten centimeters and different shapes. Now, at the foot of Sanwei Mountain opposite the Mogao Grottoes, some original large caves have been copied, which makes the viewing content of tourists in the Mogao Grottoes more colorful.
