How to use a high-power microscope:
Taking and placing the mirror: Hold the mirror arm with your right hand and hold the mirror base with your left hand. Place the microscope about 7 cm from the edge of the experimental table, slightly to the left. Install the eyepiece and objective lens.
Align the light: Rotate the converter to align the low-magnification objective lens with the clear aperture (the distance between the front end of the objective lens and the stage should be 5 to 10 mm). Aim a larger aperture at the light aperture. Look at the eyepiece with one eye and open the other eye. Turn the reflector so that the light is reflected into the lens barrel through the light aperture. A bright white circle can be seen through the eyepiece. view.
Observation: Place the slide specimen to be observed on the stage and press it with a pressing clamp. The specimen should be facing the center of the light hole. Turn the coarse focus screw to slowly lower the lens barrel until the objective lens is close to the slide specimen. Look into the eyepiece with one eye, and at the same time, turn the coarse focus screw counterclockwise to slowly raise the lens barrel until you can see the object clearly. Then turn the fine focus screw slightly to make the object image clearer.
Note on high-power microscopes: First observe with a low-power lens, find the object image to be magnified and observe, move it to the center of the field of view, and then replace it with a high-power objective lens. After replacing the high-magnification objective lens, you can no longer turn the coarse focus screw, but can only adjust it with the fine focus screw.
