Interpretation of children's photography skills

In order to better shoot children's photography and explain the shooting skills of children's photography, we chose three Canon digital SLR cameras, three Canon EF lenses and Canon original external flash. Next, please enjoy the reading materials of children's photography skills I collected for you.

Interpretation of children's photography skills: large aperture fixed focus

Charming Jiao Wai

The three lenses we choose are all the most classic focal lengths, and they are also good at shooting people, especially children, because children's forearm and calf don't have to be far away from the model like adults. We used Canon EF 100mmF2.8 macro lens this time, and the Jiao Wai effect is first-class. We can not only take close-ups, but also take bust, bust and even full-length photos.

Wonderful use of soft umbrella

Like shooting adults, shooting children is also taboo about the dividing line between light and dark and the shadow formed by strong sunlight on the face. In order to eliminate the shadow on the face, we usually use a reflector or a flash to fill the light, but this time we found that the soft umbrella is also a good prop, which allows the small model to play with the soft umbrella by himself, which can not only become the interest point on the picture, but also eliminate the shadow better than the reflector and flash.

Interpretation of children's photography skills: wide-angle lens

Use perspective

The wide-angle perspective effect is not completely to be avoided. If you make good use of it, you will also get unexpected gains. For example, if the child stands up and the camera shoots at a slightly higher angle, the effect of "three heads" can be obtained, or if the child reaches out his hand in front of the camera, the exaggerated perspective effect and the center of interest of the picture can be obtained ... In short, the flexible use of the lens perspective can help us get more wonderful photos. ...

Interpretation of Children's Photography Skills: Flash Application

Multi-lamp synchronous machine external flash lamp

At sunset, we experimented with a group of multi-lamp synchronous flash films, using 580EXII as the main lamp and two flash lamps for wireless flash. It should be noted that the flash mode in the camera must also be set to "wireless remote control". In order to darken the background, we use manual exposure to make the whole negative underexposed, and then we can play the role of a flash, one for front lighting and the other for back copying ... Sometimes we can use the built-in flash of the camera to flash, and we can hit the flash once more to achieve more lamp positions.

Interpretation of Children's Photography Skills: Dynamic Snapshot

Head-on snapshot

Different from the previous pose, the last group of films is a dynamic snapshot, which puts high demands on the focusing ability of the fuselage. Canon 60D does not use a focusing system such as 7D or even 1 series, but the new focusing algorithm of 60D can significantly improve the focusing ability. The center point is also very trustworthy in AI servo mode, and the main body bites tightly, and there is basically no defocus.

The simplest application is this kind of head-on snapshot, and the success rate is also the highest ... it is even harder to follow the photographer. In order to get the effect that the subject is clear and the background motion is blurred, the camera and the small model need to move synchronously. We use the F2.8 macro lens of 100MM, focusing only on the center point, which has some limitations in composition, but it is satisfactory on the whole.
