How to make the blue sky brighter

How to make the blue sky brighter? It is very important to show the color of the blue sky in landscape photography. Many photographers hope to reflect the blue sky with bluer and more saturated colors. There are many ways to fully reflect the blue sky color saturation. If these methods are combined flexibly, the effect will be more obvious.

1. Pay attention to the use of light. The formation of blue sky is regular. The sky illuminated by sunlight is the bluest, followed by side light, and the backlight is white. Therefore, the color saturation of the blue sky photographed from the perspective of sunlight is quite high, especially the sky above the photographer's head is particularly saturated and bright. Pay attention to the angle in photography practice, and generally you can get a brighter blue sky.

2. Use a polarizer. Polarizers, also called polarizers, are used in sidelight positions. When rotated to a certain angle, polarized light in the air can be eliminated, thus improving the saturation of blue, but it has little significance in backlight or front light. However, when using polarizers, it is best to choose polarizers with higher quality, so as not to affect the imaging quality. In addition, the exposure compensation of 1-2 will generally increase after adding a polarizer, so you should pay attention to shooting with a telephoto lens without a tripod. It is not recommended to use too low shutter speed to avoid camera shake affecting the imaging quality.

3. Choose the right weather. In fact, the color of the blue sky is closely related to the clarity of the sky. The reason why the blue sky saturation in rural mountainous areas is particularly good is related to the good local environment. At present, shooting in big cities, if you choose to shoot after rain, the color of the sky will be particularly satisfactory.

4. Use contrast. From the perspective of artistic expression, we can also increase the charm of the blue sky by contrast. For example, adding some yellow leaves or buildings to a large area of blue sky can make the blue sky more eye-catching and have more visual impact because of the complementary colors.

5. Pay attention to exposure control. Accurate exposure can get ideal color reproduction, but in some cases, when the blue sky color needs to be increased, the exposure can be reduced appropriately. For example, if the exposure of 1/3- 1/2 file is properly reduced when using color reversal films or digital cameras, the color of the blue sky will be more intense. Of course, it should be considered comprehensively in the specific implementation. If other important content in the picture will be obviously affected, it is not appropriate to attend to one thing and lose another.

6. Strengthen the blue sky with image processing software. If the photos taken by the digital camera are found to be foggy and the blue sky is gray, you can use the "automatic gradient" of "Image/Adjustment" in Photoshop to deal with it, which can increase the color saturation of the photos to a certain extent, especially for the blue sky. If the effect distortion is not satisfied during the processing, you can directly "cancel" the operation. Generally, it is not suitable to adjust the color through "color balance", because adding a blue tone will often affect the color of other content.
