How to finish a travel short film efficiently?

(comprehensive warning of dog food management)

Today's dry goods are full, so let's start with the opening remarks. Lubo? /p & gt;

Video and graphics are equally wonderful. I recommend taking it with me!

48 hours later, I finished a short travel film.

Step 1/Find music

Why is the first step to find music?

Because music is really the soul of video! ! ! It determines the rhythm and style of your video, which can not only drive the atmosphere, but also bring the audience into your story.

Try turning off the background music when you watch Korean dramas.

Finding a suitable music can help you decide the general tone of the video, such as cheerful, gloomy, magnificent and ethereal feelings, which can be conveyed through music.

We will search for copyright-free music on the Internet. Tubing is the most commonly used search tool. Just enter the background music in the search bar without copyright. The amount of search results is still amazing.

However, looking for music like this is like looking for a needle in a haystack. You can search by more precise keywords, such as winter, travel, weekends and other theme-related keywords.

Step 2/ Determine the victim line

Listening to songs, as a small screenwriter, can go online!

At this time, it is still necessary to revisit the treasure of our town house-"sentence-making and clipping class", because it is easy to gradually deduce the story prototype of the whole movie by using sentence-making thinking to turn words into sentences and clauses into paragraphs.

I suggest you write down the keywords you want to shoot most first.

Take our short film in London as an example. The key words we listed are:

London, two people, play.

Then, list the places you want to shoot.

Ours is:

The London Eye, Big Ben, the south bank of the Thames, and small shops with a retro atmosphere in London.

Finally, come up with a convincing clue and establish a connection between the keyword and the place where it happened.

So, we got such a story line:

A reliable, easy-to-implement and convincing story line is very important, because it can help you estimate the shooting difficulty and make the shooting content more targeted.

Step 3/Draw the shot you want to take.

Compared with the first two steps, this step is unnecessary, but it can get twice the result with half the effort.

It has three advantages:

1. Deciding the shooting angle and scene in advance can improve the efficiency in real shooting.

2. By conceiving continuous pictures and grouping shots, it is not easy to miss shots when shooting.

3. It is more conducive to communicating with others and explaining your own ideas.

Don't think it is too difficult to divide the picture into shots. Just like the comics we read when we were kids. Just express your meaning.

Novices may not be able to fully conceive a movie at once, but they can learn from watching it first. You can open a favorite movie, find a key paragraph and draw every shot used by the director. Slowly, you will have a sense of lens language and know what kind of pictures have a sense of connection and what kind of angles are more expressive.

Of course, we can't arrange every scene in the travel shooting, so don't be discouraged!

You can also improvise according to the arrangement of the lens. The function of the storyboard is to let you know in advance and play an overall control role.

Step 4/quasi-equipment.

Preparing props is a bonus item, which serves the main line of your story. Of course, in addition to the main props, we can also prepare some props to increase the atmosphere, such as commonly used string lights, balloons, fireworks and so on. This is definitely a trick to create a romantic scene.

Now that we have thought of preparing props, we must strive for perfection. For example, our story this time is based on a book, so it is very important to prepare a high-value book. The book we chose is called London City Sketch: 100 Creative Tips Sketched by Cities on the Thames. )

This book is a landmark on the Thames in London, with hand-drawn pictures on every page. It is precisely because of this design that we can realize the scene transformation from the page to the real scene.

Therefore, when you prepare in advance, cherish every opportunity and make your short film one step closer to perfection!

Step 5/Give it a try.

Ok, after some preparation, I can finally go out to shoot!

The first thing you should do at this time is to have a good rest the night before and eat enough breakfast the next day! (or eat dog food)

In the actual shooting, there are two main points I want to share with you:

First of all, use the tripod flexibly and change the position of the camera.

As a fighter in the selfie world, our video was also taken by ourselves. At this time, it involves the need for a tripod.

First of all, I appeal to everyone to read this article and review our "Pocket Equipment Recommendation". Mr. A Monkey, the president, planted grass for everyone and all the flexible accessories he tried in the past six months, including the two tripods we mainly used in this shooting: Mini tripod and octopus tripod.

The mini tripod is very small and can be placed on the camera at any time. Just put your three little feet away when not in use. Whether on the ground:

Or put it on a high place:

No pressure!

Octopus tripod has strong applicability, and can climb, bind and so on. , often perform well in complex and changeable terrain.

For example, in the following scene, we want to take a back shot of two people, so we put the octopus firmly on the concrete handrail.

Having said that, I still have to answer the question about putting the camera on a tripod and putting it on the side of the road is not easy to lose.

First of all, the risk of losing is certain! But we can reduce this risk subjectively!

For example, we will observe and wait for a period of time, usually when there are no passers-by in sight, we will leave the camera and start shooting.

Secondly, we will also tie the camera strap to the nearby railing, which can prevent the camera from being accidentally knocked off the ground by passers-by.

Finally, if you are still afraid, be sure to watch the eggs in our video! We shared a selfie operation that the camera will never be lost!

Second, change different shots and shoot different scenes.

We just mentioned the concept of shot grouping in the step of drawing shots.

A simple explanation is to describe the same scene from different angles and different scenes, so that the scene and the actions of the characters look more stereoscopic and rich.

The study of group shooting can also start from watching movies, and you will slowly get to the door. However, in practice, our experience is that changing the lens often according to the shooting scene is helpful for shooting the group lens.

First of all, we suggest that you use a wide-angle or fisheye lens to shoot large scenes. Such as magnificent buildings, vast oceans and so on.

Then throw your telephoto lens out and take a close-up of the people in the small well.

I won't elaborate on the benefits of telephoto lenses here, because girls love them anyway!

In this way, you have a magnificent place and a person with outstanding details, thus realizing the scene change in the group shot.

Step 6/Edit

First of all, there are many editing software, such as Final Cut Pro X and Premiere. We always use the former.

In addition, software interfaces such as iMovie are relatively simple and easy to operate. Small partners who are not particularly demanding in the later stage can also try these.

Next, let's pick up the "scissors" and grind the knife to the material!

1, adjust the sequence of materials and arrange the materials according to the story line.

2. Refine the material and cut off the unused parts of the material.

3, according to the rhythm of music, then the first step to choose the right music can help a lot!

4. Refining again.

5. Refining again.

Read it several times until you are satisfied!

Step 7/Color Adjustment

After editing the video, we will correct and adjust the color.

Color correction is to adjust the basic parameters such as exposure, contrast and white balance to make the picture color correct.

Color matching is to make the picture look more uniform, and at the same time, it can be biased towards a certain image style that you like.

Our operation sequence is to use the color finale plug-in of Final Cut Pro X, apply the same filter to all video clips, and then refine each video.

Here's a tip to share with you:

In order to make the whole movie look uniform in color, we should pay attention to the costumes and accessories of the characters and try to keep the same color in different scenes. For example, the red backpack on our back in this video has become the main reference for our color matching to prevent accidental overexertion.

Step 8/Add Sound Effect

Adding sound effects is a very important finishing touch, which can change your video from 90 points to 100 points!

Appropriate sound effects can make the audience feel more immersive, and also make the scene in the picture more three-dimensional and rich.

The sound effects commonly used in tourism videos mainly include camera shutter sound, vehicle whistle sound, city noise, door opening and closing sound, human footsteps and so on.

We will pay attention to the live broadcast when shooting to make the collected sound more in line with the real scene.

The mobile phone microphone we used in the above picture is also used in Amway's "5 Easy-to-use and Lightweight Pocket Equipments"!

If there is no time to receive the broadcast at the scene, or the broadcast reception effect is not good, you can also use the existing sound material.

For example, from the sound effects in Final Cut Pro X, you can find many daily and animated sound effects, which are very easy to use.

Well, this issue of photography will form an evil society.

Here it is!
