"Jiude Garden"

1899 was born in Neijiang, Sichuan Province in May. Zhang Daqian began to learn painting at the age of 8, and held his first solo exhibition at the age of 20, which made him famous. 1949, he moved to South America. Later, he happened to find that the scenery of a small town near Sao Paulo, Brazil was very similar to the Chengdu Plain in his hometown, so he bought the land and began to build his own mansion according to the garden style of China.

In the process of building a new house, Zhang Daqian had to sell his precious collection many times and borrow money from the bank because of the shortage of funds. It's Zhang Daqian's unique painstaking efforts that he wants to personally ask about every object in the garden. 1956 When the new house was completed, Zhang Daqian named it "Bade Garden", which made the painter feel that he was in a foreign land and lived a quiet life like a paradise, and he created many famous works. However, the weather is unpredictable, and the Brazilian government wants to build a reservoir near Bade Garden to solve the problem of urban water supply. Zhang Daqian was heartbroken and took photos of the scenery in the garden as a souvenir. Later, he had to abandon the garden and move to the United States with his family.

While we appreciate the master's ingenious pen, we will also feel a lot for his exquisite private house: the painstakingly dedicated landscape will eventually turn into underwater mud, and years of hard work will go up in smoke. Should painters be sad or regretful? If Zhang Daqian had anticipated the later outcome, he would certainly not have spent all his money on building this house, but who can predict the future changes? We are just a duckweed in the river. No matter who is famous all over the world or who is not well-known, we can't stop the river, we can only go with the flow. The only difference is that some duckweed leaves are covered with beautiful water lilies.

Siyuan Garden has passed away, but it doesn't seem far away. Zhang Daqian's brush recorded every beautiful scene, and the pleasant scenery has long been the inspiration of the master's pen. Maybe passing away is also a kind of existence. While regretting the disappearance of the garden, we sublimated it into a fairyland-like garden in our hearts. It can also be said that Bade Garden has never passed away, but it has become a "Jiude Garden" because of many reverie.
