Is triangular light practical in photography?

In the standard photography course, triangular light is the most basic lighting position for photography. Triangular light is a moderate and all-round light level. It can not only reflect the texture, but also express a certain depth. Its characteristic is that it will leave a triangular shadow on the face of the character, so it is called triangular light.

However, the standard triangular light is not used in the lighting position of modern photo studio, and most of the lighting is biased towards the front light, which is usually called large plane light. The front light can better express the texture, but the depth is poor. The photographer deliberately overexposed about one document, which would make the subject appear whiter. But it is also very tasteless, a white face with a thousand people.
