I want to be a photojournalist. What should I do?

Photography is a pleasure, but being a professional photographer may not be the same thing. According to the annual survey of CareerCast.com, a job-hunting website, professional photographers and photojournalists can almost be classified as "offensive industries". Although the survey takes the United States as a sample, it is believed to have certain reference value for China.

Photographers rank lower, lower than the typical representative of "dishwashers" in the disgusting industry. The working environment is similar, but the pressure is greater. By the way, the lowest in this ranking is a newspaper reporter.

Of course, some people will protest against this ranking table. After all, it does not include some subjective/personal judgments, such as professional mission and satisfaction, which are often the real motivation of many photographers, and the ranking table does not reflect this aspect. Of course, I think it is still worthy of reference, especially if you are going to just seek "scenery" and "make a lot of money". Professional photography is really not the direction you should choose.
