A small and light tripod is very good, especially for travelers, but depending on the task, landscape photography may need a higher and stronger tripod.

Error 2- No shooting plan

In order to capture the beautiful lakes and mountains, the mountains in the background have already existed in the photo list. So what's the plan to get the perfect shooting effect?

There are almost many reasons for the lack of shooting plan, that is to say, the lack of good shooting effect, and I don't know how crowded and the light is at this time of day.

Mistake 3- Bad lighting choice

By learning to use light (and shadows), you can enhance the visual characteristics of the theme, create depth and tell stories. As an outdoor photographer, my job is to work in a rapidly changing environment. Weather conditions may change rapidly, and the direction of light will also change.

Needless to say, shooting in cloudy days and shooting in clear skies are completely different. If you know all this, you can completely control the camera.

The best lighting condition is that the sun is low on the horizon at sunset or sunrise. More precisely, in landscape photography, the color contrast in the picture is higher after sunrise and shortly before sunset, and the scenery looks more attractive at this time of the day because of the red light.

Mistake 4-No careful composition when shooting.

Landscape photography is based on some composition rules, and understanding the basic knowledge will provide better images. If you don't pay attention to some composition rules, you will miss the opportunity to make the photos more attractive. Usually, even a perfect moment may lose its appeal if you don't pay attention to the details of composition.

For example, auxiliary lines can be used to guide the viewer's eyes to an object, and roads drawn by different objects in the photographed scene or any other imaginary lines can form reference lines.

You can also connect the foreground and background with auxiliary lines to enhance the visual effect of the subject.

Error 5- The line of sight is blocked or bent

Many beginners use inclined or curved horizontal lines to create images, which is insignificant to many people, but it is a quite common mistake for untrained people.

Let's try to find out why the curved horizon is considered wrong. If you go for a walk and look at the horizon in the distance, what will you see? Usually, completely horizontal lines in real life should be horizontal in photos (so should vertical lines).

The curved skyline looks unnatural and distracting. See if you missed this detail when composing the composition.

However, the best way to avoid this problem is to think about it when preparing for work. It can be easily avoided by leveling the tripod or opening the grid in the camera viewfinder or LCD screen. Most cameras also have a built-in virtual field of view that can be activated in real time.

Error 6- Elements of the border do not need to be broken.

Random objects appearing at the edge of the picture will destroy the photo, and they can divert the attention of the audience from the main objects.

Similarly, as a landscape photographer, you need to pay attention to the composition. The shooting theme may be great, but if there are extra elements such as branches or power cords on the edge of the picture, it may damage the picture.

Error 7- Primary object not cleared

Perhaps this is the main reason for almost all reasons. This is the lack of clear subject objects in the image. When you don't know why you want to take a specific photo and where the main theme is, the viewer will not understand, and the final image looks like a simple snapshot.
