How to draw a fishbone map?

To draw a fishbone diagram:

(1) Briefly explain the problem to be solved, and fill it in the "fish head" on the right side of the causality diagram.

(2) Determine the main categories of possible causes and draw the main branches of the causality diagram. Generally speaking, the typical classification methods that can be used for manufacturing problems are: personnel, machinery and equipment, materials, methods, measurement and environment, that is, 5M 1E classification method. For service or management problems, the commonly used classification methods are: people, policies, procedures and facilities, that is, 4P classification.

(3) Using brainstorming method, fill all possible causes of the problem into the main branch according to different classifications. Branches can be continued on each main branch as needed. What is on each branch is the reason for the next level.

(4) Check and sort out the causality diagram, adjust the fuzzy content and merge the duplicate content.

(5) The team members fully discuss the possible reasons and determine several possible reasons, which will be the focus of the next investigation and data collection.

For example:
