Anhui people's face value is generally high, with northern Anhui leaning to the north and southern Anhui leaning to the south. Anhui, located in the east of China, is a province in the Yangtze River Delta. The whole province is divided into three natural areas: Huaibei Plain, Jianghuai Hilly and Southern Anhui Mountainous Area. Anhui has Tianmu Mountain-Baiji Mountain, Huangshan Mountain and Jiuhua Mountain, and Xin 'anjiang, Shuiyangjiang and Qingyijiang Valley are among the three mountains. The terrain gradually descends from the mountain core to the valley, and it is composed of Zhongshan, low mountains, hills, platforms and plains. Most of the mountains are distributed in the northeast and near the east-west direction, and the highest peak is Lotus Peak in Huangshan, with an altitude of 1873 meters. Large and small basins are embedded in mountains, among which Xiukuang (Huizhou) basin is the largest. Climatic conditions Anhui province belongs to the transitional area between warm temperate zone and subtropical zone in climate. The north of Huaihe River has a warm temperate semi-humid monsoon climate, and the south of Huaihe River has a sub-humid monsoon climate. Its main characteristics are: the monsoon is obvious, the four seasons are distinct, the spring is warm and changeable, the summer rain is concentrated, the autumn is crisp and the winter is cold. Anhui is also located in the mid-latitude zone. With the alternation of monsoon, the seasonal variation of precipitation is obvious, which is one of the areas with obvious monsoon climate. Spring and autumn are transitional periods from winter to summer and from summer to winter. The distribution of hydrological water system in Anhui not only has strong monsoon climate characteristics, but also is strictly restricted by landforms. Runoff changes greatly during the year and is unevenly distributed during the year. The runoff in flood season from May to August or June to September accounts for more than 55-70% of the annual runoff, and the ratio difference between wet year and dry year is 14-22 times. The regional difference of runoff is consistent with the regional difference of precipitation. The average annual runoff depth in hilly and mountainous areas of western and southern Anhui is 600~ 1000 mm, while that in Huaibei is only about 200 mm.
