How to take time-lapse photography?

First, the most important thing in time-lapse photography is stability.

If you want to take more special and different photos with video, night view, long exposure and other techniques, a tripod is essential. In addition, time-lapse photography needs to take a lot of photos and take a long time, so make sure that the memory card of the camera is large enough and the battery is enough.

Second, the camera settings

The time-lapse photography (interval photography) function in the camera is used for shooting. Generally speaking, we need to set the interval time of each photo in the camera, and then set the total number of photos to be taken, and the camera will automatically display the total time required to shoot the whole set of delayed material.

First of all, you must use the manual focus mode to prevent the camera from refocusing before each photo, and the focus subject is offset or even unable to focus and take pictures.

The easiest way is to focus on the subject in auto focus mode, and then switch to manual focus mode to keep the focus on the subject. After switching to manual focus, be careful not to touch the lens focus ring by mistake to avoid focus shift.

Third, the measurement mode

Generally speaking, time-lapse photography usually adopts evaluation photometry (also called global photometry).

Look at the photometry balance table. If the indicator is in the middle position, it means normal exposure; if the indicator is on the left, it means underexposure; if the indicator is on the right, it means overexposure.
