What is the difference between lightning and rolling thunder?

Lightning is a common natural phenomenon. When a storm comes in summer, a white light will suddenly appear in the sky, followed by a "rumbling" sound.

Lightning and noise are the basic characteristics of lightning. When lightning happens, you can still see its shape, mostly "ㄅ" shape, but there are also strips and sheets, all of which are a flash, giving a strong impression.

There is a strange kind of lightning, which is always fluttering and moving slowly for a few seconds. People call it rolling thunder, and scientists call it spherical lightning. Spherical lightning is a silent fireball with a diameter of 0. 1 m to 0.2 m. When it disappears, it may explode or be silent. Spherical lightning does not emit white light, which may be red, yellow or orange. It sometimes appears in the sky, sometimes near the ground, and even breaks into the building through the glass and floats into the closed aircraft cabin.
