How to blur the background

First of all, the background blur is caused by the depth of field. What is depth of field? When we take pictures, we all need to choose a point to focus on. The part with accurate focus (focus) is clear, and the scenery before and after focus will be blurred because of out of focus. In other words, the depth of field refers to the distance from the last clear point to the next clear point. The scenery between the two is clear, and the scenery before and after is blurred. This clear range is the depth of field.
How does the camera control the depth of field? It is through the aperture and the focal length of the lens. Let's talk about aperture first. This is the main reason. Every camera has aperture control. When the aperture is large (f value is a small value), the photos will have a shallow depth of field (that is, the background is blurred), and when the aperture is small (f value is a large value), the photos will have a deep depth of field (both sides are clear). For example, photos taken with f/2.8 aperture must have a shallower depth of field than those taken with f/8. And the longer the focal length, the shorter the depth of field. The background of a photo with a focal length of 200 is definitely better than that with a focal length of 50.
If the SLR camera has a large aperture telephoto lens, the blurred background is better, but the large aperture lens is piled up with money.
For example, the aperture of our ordinary digital camera is too small, so we set it to the maximum aperture f/2.8 as mentioned in the camera. Practice has proved that the aperture f/2.8 of ordinary digital cameras is only equivalent to f/ 1 1 of SLR cameras. It is conceivable that it is very laborious to blur the background under such a depth of field.
So how do ordinary digital cameras blur the background as much as possible?
First of all, talk about composition.
(1) creates a visual gap between the subject and the background. If your camera does not have a large zoom and aperture, it is not easy to get a good background blur. But proper composition is very helpful to get a good background blur. The so-called visual gap is to keep a good distance between the subject and the background during shooting. This means that your subject should be as far away from the background as possible.
(2) causing light contrast. In order to get a good background blur, we should do everything possible to highlight the subject manually. (1) Turn off autofocus. The autofocus of a digital camera is generally three focus points, which means that it is not in line with our wishes to give consideration to the clarity of the three points after focusing. (2) The measurement method is changed to point measurement. The light difference between the background and the main body is caused by composition, and this advantage can be greatly exerted by spot metering. Spot metering, also called key metering, measures light within the range of 1%-5%. Spot metering is difficult to master. But in some cases, spot metering can play an important role. Knowing when spot metering should be used and using spot metering correctly can make the exposure of the subject accurate on the one hand, and create wonderful pictures that can't be seen in reality by using "sensitivity tolerance" on the other hand.
Another point, which is also the most powerful place of ordinary digital cameras, is that the focusing distance is extremely short. Some ordinary digital cameras can reach the amazing focal length of 1cm. In imaging, the closer the shooting distance is, the shallower the depth of field will be, so the depth of field of close-range or macro photos may be only one or two microns near the focus, and the farther scenes are already blurred.
