What Neolithic cultural sites are there in Zhangzhou?
Zhangzhou Shang and Zhou cultural sites, according to expert research, 274 Shang and Zhou cultural sites were found in the whole region, mainly distributed in hills, terraces and gentle slopes on both sides of rivers, coastal terraces, island tops and delta areas where rivers enter the sea. These relics mainly include stone tools, pottery and bronzes.
The paleolithic cultural sites in Zhangzhou, namely Lianhuachi Mountain and Zhulin Mountain in the northern suburb of Zhangzhou City, were discovered during the construction of 1989 highway. Twenty-seven paleolithic products were collected from the original stratum, including 23 pieces of Lianhuachi Mountain and 4 pieces of Zhulin Mountain, which were divided into four types: stone core, stone chips, chopping tools and scraper.
