That depends on whether you want to learn photography or work in a studio. Photography skills can't be learned in a day or two, and it needs understanding and beauty. But if it's just to make a living, first go to someone else's studio as a photography assistant, learn slowly in it, and you can shoot with a camera in a year. With practice, you can become a formal photographer. Of course, being a chief still needs some experience. The salary is not certain.
