The current situation of Ukrainian photographers

On August 29th, 2065438+09 local time, Odessa, Ukraine, the people of Odessa celebrated the annual Red Hair Festival in Ukraine.

The origin of red hair festival

As a new global festival, the "Red Hair Festival" was first held in the Dutch town of Si Tong in 2005. Its founder is the painter Bart Lowenhorst. At first, he wanted to create 15 paintings of redheads, so he advertised in the newspaper for 15 redheads to be models. Unexpectedly, after the advertisement was issued, the registration was extremely enthusiastic, and 150 models came to the door. Bart chose 14 and 15 by lot. In order not to disappoint the unsuccessful models, Bart organized a special team of photographers to take pictures of them. This happened to lead to the first red hair festival.

Different symbols of red hair

Historically, redheads were discriminated against in many countries: in ancient Rome, redheads were taken to be slaves; In French Corsica, if you meet a person with red hair in the street, you should spit and turn away. There is a French proverb that people with red hair are either violent or hypocritical, usually both. During the reign of the Spanish Inquisition, a red hair proved that you stole the fire of hell and were going to burn. The most famous redhead in history is Judas who betrayed Jesus in the Bible.

In other cultures, red hair is a symbol of luck. Poles believe that if you see three people with red hair at the same time, you can win the lottery. In Denmark, giving birth to a child with red hair is a symbol of honor.

Nowadays, red hair has become a symbol of full personality, and celebrities with red hair, such as Nicole Kidman and Prince Harry of England, have become idols of the public. Many people even regard dyeing their hair red as a fashion pursuit.

In addition, according to the organizer of "Red Hair Festival", "Red Hair Day" is held to congratulate those who have rare red hair, because having red hair means being different and strong-willed. Red hair is the product of human genetic mutation. Only 1%-2% people in the world have red hair, and the number is still decreasing. Geneticists say that red hair may disappear after 100 years. Therefore, redheads are an out-and-out "endangered species" among human beings.
