Due to the epidemic, many crew members originally scheduled to depart in March were postponed to July. Since June, Hengdian has ushered in an "entrepreneurship wave". Due to the impact of the epidemic, the wrong shooting time of the crew is the main reason for the current hot market. The supply of photography and recording equipment exceeds demand, and various prop companies' orders and rental contracts are even scheduled until next year, which shows that business is booming. In March this year, dozens of equipment rental companies in Hengdian jointly launched a joint name and jointly launched preferential activities for the recovery of the film and television industry, and the equipment rental prices were collectively reduced by 10%-15%.

At present, the number of permanent film crews at the Hengdian Film and Television Base has reached about 20,000. Walking on the 100-meter road where the film crews are concentrated, there are even two or three film crews filming at the same time. Actors currently eat a lot, and employees go to the company at 6 a.m. every day to prepare meals. The film and television industry has once again become a "hot spot", driving related industries. Since March, takeout and group meal orders at the Hengdian Film and Television City Catering Center have increased by more than 10% month-on-month. In May this year, the number of crew members in Hengdian hotels increased by about 15% compared with the same period last year. Last May was the period with the largest number of crew members in Hengdian throughout the year. This industry cannot develop without government help.

The box office of Chinese movies is soaring, and the annual output of Chinese TV series is also increasing. A new film and television base was quickly used up, and the demand for new landscapes was very strong. The antique buildings built in film and television bases and studios of different sizes meet the needs of film and television works. In addition, film and television bases can meet the needs of film crews in terms of camera equipment, costumes and props, extras and post-production. There are now hundreds of film and television cities in China, and competition is fierce.
