What kind of persimmon is this one that takes away a ditch? Does it taste good?

In late autumn, persimmons are red, and there is a bright color on the bleak field.

The leaves were blown away by the wind, leaving only red persimmons covered with branches. It is said that persimmons are like "lanterns", which is really appropriate.

The day after beginning of winter, the sun was warm and the sky was blue. In Miaojiagou, Haiyang, I happened to meet villagers picking persimmons at the head of the village.

Miaojiagou is a small mountain village in Xiaoji Town, far away from the town, and a long and narrow cement road leads to the highway. Many people in the village planted persimmon trees in front of their homes. Many tall persimmon trees in front of the village are decades old and belong to the village collective.

At the head of the village, from a distance, someone climbed a tall persimmon tree and cut the persimmon on the treetop with a pair of scissors tied to a bamboo pole. Three people under the tree, two with wide nets, moved their feet, caught the fallen persimmons and fell to the ground; Another man cut off branches and collected persimmons in piles.

My sister under the tree said that persimmons were harvested this year, and the price was not high. When I bought them, it was 80 cents a catty.

It is the owner of the tree who moves flexibly between branches, but in fact it is the contractor, surnamed Ji, who is 49 years old this year. It didn't cost him much to contract persimmon trees in the village. One of the important reasons is that persimmons are difficult to pick. You have to be able to climb trees, or you can only watch them fall to the ground. Brother Ji has this skill, he is light, flexible in climbing trees and bold in art.

I asked if the persimmons here could be processed into dried persimmons. The villagers said that they were not of that variety and could only be eaten. This persimmon is astringent and needs to be steamed [l m 4 n] (Xinhua dictionary says "bitter") or softened to remove astringency. Persimmon blanching is a technical activity, like boiling water or shochu, which is crisp and sweet.

The Journey to the West had a conversation about persimmons in the sixty-seventh session. "What are the seven wonders?" Sanzang asked. The old man said, "This mountain road is more than 800 miles, and the mountains are full of persimmon fruits. There are seven wonders in the ancient cloud persimmon tree: first, longevity, second, cloudy days, third, bird's nest, fourth, insect-free, fifth, frosty leaves to play with, sixth, bumper harvest, and seventh, branches and leaves, hence the name Qiqishan. " Seven leaves are unique, which actually means "you can study". There was a scholar named Zheng Guangwen in the Tang Dynasty. His family was poor and he couldn't afford paper. There are persimmon trees in the nearby temple, so he went to pick up leaves to practice calligraphy, write poems and paint, and then mounted them for the emperor to see. At the first sight, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty praised his poems, paintings and calligraphy, and wrote the inscription "Zheng Qian's Three Musts" in calligraphy, which became an eternal story.

There are two tall persimmon trees in front of a family in our village, which have great shade. In summer, women sit under the tree to enjoy the cool and sew clothes, while children play under the tree and pick up the fallen Xiaoqing persimmons. I don't remember what they looked like when they were mature. Maybe it was already cold at that time and I didn't go out to play again.
