What are the distinctive attractions in Kangding?
There are many beautiful scenic spots in Kangding. I know a few of them relatively well. I wonder if you have been there. Also, it may not be comprehensive, so you can help me to add it. Erlang Mountain: Located at the junction of Luding, Tianquan and Yingjing counties, with an altitude of 3,437 meters, it is bounded by Jiajin Mountain to the north, Qionglai Mountain to the south, and echoes Gongga Mountain to the west. It was once the "Yifu Pass" on the thousands-mile Sichuan-Tibet line. , a traffic artery that no one can open.” The now completed Erlang Mountain Tunnel is located on the mountainside of Erlang Mountain at an altitude of 2,182 meters, with a total length of 8,660 meters. It is the longest road tunnel in Asia, and the longest and highest altitude tunnel among the road tunnels in China. The completion of the Erlangshan Tunnel has shortened the mileage of the Erlangshan section of the original Sichuan-Tibet Highway by 25 kilometers and reduced the driving time by 3 hours. It also avoids the section where accidents and disasters are frequent on the top of the mountain, ensuring smooth roads and driving safety. Every May, Erlang Mountain is filled with purple, blue, red and white azaleas, which are especially beautiful against the backdrop of the solemn and quiet ancient glaciers opposite. Mugecuo Scenic Area: Located in Yala Township, northeast of Kangding County, 26 kilometers away from the county, with an altitude of 2,900 to 3,800 meters and an area of ??500 square kilometers. The scenic area consists of six small scenic areas: Dujuan Gorge, Saimaping, Qisehai, Yaochi Boquan, Mugecuo and Red Sea Grassland. It has plateau lakes, virgin forests, hot springs, snow peaks, waterfalls, strange mountains and rocks and other landscapes. Hailuogou: Hailuogou is located in the mid-alpine, high mountain, and extremely high mountain areas, with a drop of more than 6,000 meters, forming seven unique vegetation zones and seven soil zones in nature, which gather most of my country's plant species. It has a large number of rare and protected animals and plants, such as rhododendrons, magnolias, sequoias, yews, mactanas, giant pandas, wildebeests, macaques, sunbirds, red-bellied blood pheasants, etc. In spring and summer, there are many flowers, fragrant and gorgeous. Gongga Mountain: Gongga Mountain means "supreme, white and flawless mountain" in Tibetan. It borders the Dadu River to the east and the Yalong River to the west. It is a mountain that mountaineers long to conquer. It is more difficult to climb than Mount Everest. Many people paid the price with their lives. Since the Chinese National Mountaineering Team reached the summit in 1957, no one has climbed to the top again in the decades. The scenery of Gongga Mountain is very different from that of Jiuzhaigou. To describe Jiuzhaigou, it can be said to be beautiful, but to describe the beauty of the snow-capped mountains in Gongga Mountain, one can only use the word magnificent or it is difficult to describe at all. When the "King of Shu Mountain" in front of you is plated with a layer of gold by the setting sun, what kind of mood you will feel? Perhaps you can only look up at the sacred mountain with the piety of a pilgrim. Kangding Hot Spring: Kangding Hot Spring originates from the foothills of Zhougong Mountain. The water temperature is about 40°C and the sulfur content is high. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it had become a natural bathing pool for passers-by. In the early years of the Republic of China, a hotel teahouse was founded, named "Yedianlou". The price ranges from 10 to 25 yuan depending on the size and condition. Erdaoqiao Hot Spring is 5 kilometers north of the city. Lotus Sea: Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, stone forests and forests. The snow-capped peaks are holy and elegant under the sunlight. The stone forests and trees on the mountainside are entangled with branches in various shapes. There are yellow sheep, green sheep and other wild animals living and multiplying there. There are also dense forests at the foot of the mountain. Many natural medicinal materials grow, such as cordyceps, fritillary, snow lotus, etc. In the season when flowers are in full bloom, many exotic flowers and plants are blooming, and the fragrance of flowers is refreshing. And in autumn, we can enjoy the gorgeous color paintings all over the mountains. The colorful mountains seem to be soaked with paint, red, yellow, cyan, green, against the blue sky. Even the most exquisite brush can hardly depict such of gorgeous scenery. The mirror-like water surface reflects the forest and the sky. It is quiet and far-reaching. It reminds people of long-ago days and makes the heart as calm and pleasant as water. Look at the emerald-green lawns around the lake. Herds of cattle and sheep are scattered on the grassland like pearls. Beautiful butterflies are dancing in the air. Occasionally, white cranes and otters are playing in the lake. Guo Dashan: Guo Dashan is famous for an "arrow" on the mountain. It is said that this arrow was caused by Kongming Qiongzhou's bent bow. An arrow can travel hundreds of miles away. There is another book: Kong Ming was marching to the west and ordered Guo Da to make arrows. "Guo Da made three thousand arrows in one night, and there were green sheep dancing around the stove. He was a true god and man. Kong Ming was overjoyed and made Guo Da a general under the curtain." Without going into the details of various historical anecdotes, this "arrow" really towers on the top of Guoda Mountain. The "arrow" is an iron Mani flagpole, towering on the steepest peak. A few feet away from the "arrow", the terrain is more dangerous, with a knife-back shape. Climbers need to use their legs to clamp the back of the crotch, facing the wind of Guan'er Mountain, and use their limbs to move toward the top in a gecko move. If they are not careful, they will climb. There are worries about falling off the cliff on both sides, so very few people climb it.
The people of all ethnic groups in Lucheng respected General Guo Da as early as the fourth year of Yongyan (1726) due to their admiration for Kong Ming's "Western Harmony with the Rong" and their longing for the harmonious coexistence of all ethnic groups. That is when the Guoda Temple (known as the General Temple in the past) was built. The temple has double eaves and a large Tibetan prayer wheel is built on the left side of the main hall. The statue of General Guo Da enshrined in the main hall has a face that looks both Tibetan and Han, with wide eyes, a slightly open mouth, a red face without a beard, a Tibetan official red tassel copper basin round cap on his head, and a Tibetan embroidered official robe. Ride a big green sheep. Therefore, it is also said among the Tibetan people that the God of Guoda Temple is the "soft" protector god in Lamaism. "Dangruan" is a blacksmith, a statue worshiped by Tibetan ironworkers. He is holding a Tibetan leather fire tube and sitting down is also a big goat. The Guo Da Temple is now abandoned, and the statue of Guo Da has been moved to the side hall of Jixiang Zen Temple in Paoma Mountain. In addition, there is also a statue of General Guo Da in the side hall of the Vajra Temple.
Guo Dashan is also regarded as a good weather gauge. When the clouds and fog on the top of the mountain disappear, it is a sign of fine weather. Whenever the clouds and fog are diffuse, rain is bound to come, and the test is correct, so it is known as "leave time to predict the rain".
