The world's largest saw was found on a heavy machine in Bogatyr coal mine. Bogatyr coal mine is the largest coal mine in the world, located near the city of Ekibastrou.

June 20 15, the world's largest bucket wheel excavator is now located in Bogatyr coal mine in Eki Bastou, with a weight of 45,000 tons and can dig 4,500 tons of coal per hour.
Basic structure
Bucket wheel excavator is mainly composed of power, walking, working, rotating and conveying devices.
1. power plant: except some small bucket wheel excavators use diesel generator sets, others are external power conversion sets;
2. Walking devices: most of them are crawler type, and a few are walking type. Small and medium-sized machines mostly use double tracks. Large-scale use of multiple tracks to reduce the specific pressure of the machine to the ground;
3. Working device: It consists of bucket wheel, boom, luffing mechanism and bucket wheel driving device. Bucket wheel is a wheel with several buckets evenly distributed on the circumference, which is installed at the front end of the boom. The back end of the boom is hinged on the gantry of the turntable, and the boom is tilted by the oil cylinder or wire rope to change the tilt angle, so that the bucket wheel can dig on different working faces. The length of the boom is fixed and can be extended and contracted. The bucket wheel drive device consists of a motor, a safety coupling and a reducer, which is installed at the front end side of the boom and used for driving the bucket wheel to rotate. The above structure is basically the same as the working device of bucket wheel stacker-reclaimer, but the bucket wheel excavator directly digs ore, which has large cutting force and poor working conditions, so the structural strength is much higher than that of bucket wheel stacker-reclaimer, and the driving power is much higher, and the structural form is more complicated;
4. Rotating device: composed of turntable and rotating drive device. The turntable is provided with a power device, a driving device, control equipment and a control room. The driving device can make the turntable rotate 360 degrees around the vertical axis. ;
5. Conveyor: It consists of receiving conveyor belt, hopper and discharging conveyor belt. Connecting bridge bucket wheel excavator is also equipped with transfer conveyor belt on the connecting bridge.
principle of operation
When digging, the machine does not walk, and the material is continuously cut and loaded into the bucket by means of the compound movement composed of bucket wheel rotation and boom rotation. When the bucket rotates with the bucket wheel to a certain height, the material falls to the receiving conveyor belt by its own weight, and then is discharged to the discharging conveyor belt through the hopper, loaded into vehicles such as automobiles or conveyors, and transported to the designated place. After the first layer of material is dug, the machine moves or the boom falls, and then the next layer of material is dug, so that it is dug from the top layer by layer. The thickness of the excavated material is controlled by the advancing distance of the machine or the telescopic amount of the boom. The width is determined by the rotating speed, and the height is generally not more than 0.7 times the diameter of the bucket wheel. The walking of bucket wheel excavator is auxiliary and the operation is continuous. The bucket is only used for digging. Materials are transported by belt conveyor, with low energy consumption.

Cantilever bucket wheel excavator is usually called ordinary bucket wheel excavator, which belongs to small and medium-sized equipment, and its productivity is below 2500 cubic meters per hour.
The connecting bridge is called bucket wheel excavator group, which consists of bucket wheel excavator, connecting bridge and transfer machine. Most of them are large-scale equipment, and the productivity is above 2500 cubic meters per hour.
