1, impression sunrise

This painting, painted at 1872, depicts a port in le havre, Monet's hometown. It is the most classic of all Monet's works and can be called the pioneering work of Impressionism. What many people don't know is that it not only gave birth to the impressionist style, but also inspired the movement that is now a household name. The name "Impressionism" comes from this work called Impression Sunrise.

2. Rouen Cathedral

People are very familiar with Monet's series of water lilies, knowing that he painted many paintings of water lilies, but his most representative series is actually Rouen Cathedral, which runs through Monet's whole painting career. 5. Woman with a parasol

This painting was created on 1875. The woman in the painting is Monet's wife and the child is his youngest son. The family lived in Argenteuil from 1872 to 1878. It was a wonderful and pleasant time. Vivid brushwork and energetic composition draw the skirt of his wife blown by the wind, and the surrounding flowers and plants are dotted with light and shadow.
