Historical and cultural knowledge of Yongdeng Spring Festival

Yongdeng has a long history. Located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, the birthplace of ancient culture in China, it is also the throat of Hexi Corridor in Gansu.

As early as the primitive society, people lived on both sides of Zhuanglang River and Datong River.

Before the Qin Dynasty, it was occupied by Qiang and Xiongnu. In the second year of Yuanshou in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 12 1), Huo Qubing, a title of generals in ancient times, led an army out of Longxi and "crossed the Yellow River to build a fort", which was formally incorporated into the territory of the Han Empire, with a history of more than 2 100 years.

During this period, all the rulers of past dynasties set up county governments in this area.

Especially since the Reform Movement of 1898, many great historical deeds and changes have taken place, especially in economy and culture.

Yongdeng is a magical and beautiful land with a total area of 6,090 square kilometers and a total population of 530,000.

Yongdeng is located on the main road of "Silk Road", with the Yellow River in front and the Black Sheath behind, which is a battleground for military strategists in past dynasties.

Zhuanglang River and Datong River flow through the territory and form "Three Rivers" (Babaochuan, Zhuanglangchuan and Qinwangchuan) with the two rivers (Datong River and Zhuanglang River).

Yongdeng culture has been inherited and developed here and has become a wonderful flower in the cultural pattern of the upper reaches of the Yellow River.

Overview of Yongdeng culture before reform and opening up

Before liberation, Yongdeng had few cultural facilities.

In the 25th year of the Republic of China (A.D. 1936), the People's Education Museum was established with a gymnasium, a recreation room and a people's tea garden. All the books are 2 120 volumes of Sanzang, and other books and periodicals are 630 Yu Ben.

However, in Yongdeng, people's cultural life is rich and colorful. Many popular art forms such as Shaanxi Opera, Dragon Lantern, Bamboo Horse, Dry Boat, Lion, Pavilion, Tiaogu, stilts, Puppet, Shadow Play, Yangko, etc. A number of famous Shaanxi Opera actors such as Yuan Tianlin, Miao Lanting and Miao Gaocheng appeared.

1950, Yongdeng people used these art forms to sing and dance to celebrate the first Spring Festival after liberation.

Brilliant cultural relics and historic sites

As early as the Neolithic Age, there were humans in Yongdeng. Majiayao culture is a prehistoric civilization and the birthplace of ancient culture in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River. Historically, Yongdeng was the intersection of Western culture and Central Plains culture. In the long-term cultural exchange and integration, a unique regional culture has been formed, leaving behind dazzling cultural treasures and precious cultural relics.

At present, 94 protected units such as ancient cultural sites, ancient tombs and ancient buildings have been announced.

There are more than 3,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics in the county museum, which is the collection of Yongdeng historical and cultural treasures and the witness of Yongdeng history.

These cultural relics include pottery, stone tools, calligraphy and painting, bronzes, ironware, gold and silver jade, porcelain, wood lacquerware, silk and so on.

Painted pottery occupies an important proportion in these cultural relics. The world-famous painted pottery king and painted pottery drum were unearthed in Yongdeng County, which is a rare artistic treasure in the garden of Chinese civilization.

Historians attach great importance to ancient cultural sites such as Leshan Ping, Jiangjiaping and Tuanzhuang.

Colorful folk culture

Yongdeng has a unique folk customs, and a unique folk culture is formed by the blending of multi-nationalities, multi-regions and long-standing cultures.

Yongdeng is the hometown of Taiping Drum. Yongdeng Shehuo performance has a long history. Tieruizi, rolling lamp and Taiping drum have long enjoyed a good reputation. It is a fine work of folk culture. There are more than 65,438,000 social fire fighting teams in the county. The annual Spring Festival, Lantern Festival and social fire performances enrich the cultural life of the masses and add a lot of fun and festive atmosphere to the festival. Yongdeng Shehuo Team visited Lanzhou many times to pay New Year greetings to the citizens and sent this beautiful folk custom to Yongdeng.

On 200 1, Yongdeng Taiping Drum went to Wuxi to attend the China Drum King Conference and won the title of "China Drum King".

In the Spring Festival of 2003, the completion ceremony of "Home Map of China" held at the China Millennium Monument in Beijing became famous all over the world, showing the heroic spirit of Long Yuan's sons and daughters to pursue prosperity in Taiping. Replicated giant painted pottery drums are also treasures in drum culture.

Yongdeng's paper-cutting, embroidery and other handicrafts are also widely circulated and colorful, and the Lantern Festival is even more ingenious and interesting to watch.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Lantern Festival in Hongchengzi was very famous, known as the "Red Light Festival".

Since the reform and opening up, Hongcheng Lantern Festival and Qinglong Mountain Park Lantern Festival have developed rapidly, with large scale, fine production and high cultural taste. From historical figures, folklore, allusions to proverbs, zodiac signs, production and calligraphy, there has been progress, attracting a large number of viewers to appreciate. Qinglongshan Park Lantern Festival has become a cultural feast for the whole county during the Spring Festival. Yongdeng's shadow play and Shaanxi opera performance have a deep mass base and talented people come forth in large numbers. There are many classical songs, which are widely circulated. The county cultural center rescued and sorted out this folk cultural treasure, and sorted out four books, namely, Yongdeng Quyi Music Integration, Yongdeng National Folk Musical Instruments Music Integration and Yongdeng Folk Stories Integration, as well as other precious folk cultural collections. Folk arts such as Yongdenghua, folk songs and bitter water have unique regional and artistic characteristics.
