After the establishment of Guizhou Branch of China Photographers Association, in order to improve the theoretical level of authors and promote the photography art level of this province, the leading group of the association undertook 1982 "Southwest Regional Theory Federation", and on this basis, the "Second National Photography Creation Conference" sponsored by China Photographers Association was successfully held from 1984 to April 24. More than 65,438+000 photographers, famous photographers and photography theorists from all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China participated in this grand event.

With the improvement of the theoretical level of photography in this province, the artistic level of photography has also made a great leap. 1994, our province won the first place in the total score of the group in the 17th National Photography Art Exhibition. The Chinese Photographers Association held the '94 National Photography Theory Annual Meeting in Guiyang Huaxi Youth Activity Center from 23rd to 26th on1October. The development of photography theory in this province benefits from the prosperity of photography creation. The new ideas and thoughts embodied in the creation need to be summarized in time by theoretical criticism, which opens up a broader thinking space for the creation with new ideas and viewpoints. Just like this, the photography theory and creation in this province have formed a benign interactive relationship. From 65438 to 0998, at the 18th National Photography Art Exhibition, our province entered the top five national photographers with the fifth total score. It is rare for China to remain in the top five in two consecutive national exhibitions. The photography art in Guizhou has entered a glorious period.

The province's rich tourism resources and colorful folk customs are second to none in China in many aspects, providing an inexhaustible source for the province's photography creation. Since the association was established 24 years ago, we have successfully held 9 provincial-level photography exhibitions; Two provincial youth photography exhibitions; Two provincial traffic light photography exhibitions; Two Qian Shan gathering photo exhibitions; The 3rd Le Kai Photography Competition; Organized four joint exhibitions with Singapore Color Photography Society; Others, such as the "Long March Spirit" film festival; "Pearl of the Plateau" National Photography Competition; "Anti-poverty Exhibition"; Guizhou Photography Art Festival; Opening ceremony of two "Sunshine Cup" National Children's Photography Competition; There are countless photo contests in the province, and there are countless photo exhibitions on flood fighting and rescue in Guizhou.

It is particularly worth mentioning that the monthly photography art competition, which started from 1988, has become a place for photographers in Guizhou to exchange and learn from each other, and it is in this exchange competition that photographers learn from each other and thrive.

1May, 1997, the national photography vocational skills training ranked first in the province, and the national photography vocational skills appraisal assessor training and assessment was held in the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the assessor was trained and assessed by the whole province. 1July, 1997, 30 famous photographers in the province, including Han Guiqun, Xu, Peng Xiangzhong, Niu Hongxuan, Ding Changrui, Tan, were awarded the certificates of "Senior Photographer", "Senior Appraiser" and "Appraiser" by the Ministry of Labor, and the "National No.32 Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute" officially took photos in Guizhou Province. The Institute has held nine industry trainings and appraisals, and more than 400 people have obtained the certificates of junior, middle and senior photographers through training and assessment, which has achieved good social and economic benefits.
