What should I do if the camera is flooded?

Digital camera is a sophisticated electronic instrument, but sometimes users are negligent, which leads to the proliferation of digital cameras. Everyone should understand that the proliferation of digital cameras is a very serious problem. If it is not handled properly after flooding, it will damage the machine and even scrap the whole camera. On the contrary, if it can be handled correctly in time, the performance of the camera can still be restored or the loss can be minimized under the condition of saving it.

It should be noted that "water inflow" here refers to fresh water in rivers, lakes, wells, swimming pools and bathing halls, and there is no water inflow inside the lens. If seawater enters the water, or fresh water or seawater enters the lens, the camera may or may not be taken.

If a photographer encounters water in a digital camera, he can take the following steps:

First, take out the battery immediately and cut off the power supply.

After water enters the camera, users should never turn off the power switch of the camera immediately, because when the power is turned off with the switch, the digital camera will not turn off immediately, but will go through a series of shutdown procedures. Running these programs in wet state can easily cause short circuit damage to the camera circuit. The correct way is to take out the battery directly from the camera quickly and let the camera shut down forcibly. Be careful not to touch any button or switch on the camera before taking out the battery.

Second, try to dry the digital camera quickly.

After the camera is flooded, the photographer needs to find a way to dry it as soon as possible. If there is no way to dry it, consider finding a rice cooker to dry the water in the camera. Specific usage can refer to the following:

1. Cover the rice cooker first, power on the rice cooker, check whether there are any water drops in the cavity and lid after heating, and wipe it with a dry towel after power off;

2. Turn on the rice cooker again and heat it until the inner room is hot, but the hand must be able to touch it for a long time. At this time, the temperature is generally around 50℃;

3. Turn off the power of the rice cooker, spread two layers of newspapers in the inner cavity of the rice cooker, put the camera with water on the newspaper and cover it. After 20 minutes, take out the camera;

4. Hold the camera tightly with your hands and swing it in the air to make the water droplets inside the camera flow;

5. Repeat the above steps. Generally speaking, after 2-3 times of repeated drying, most of the water in the rice cooker will be removed.

Third, dry and dry.

Although the camera with water has been dried, it is still possible that the camera is not completely dried, and we need to dry it. Then they can put the camera in the drying oven and put fresh desiccant in the drying oven. After sealing for 24 hours, replace the desiccant once and continue sealing and drying. If regenerated dry silica gel is used, it can also be dried before use.

In general, through the above three steps, a digital camera can be brought back to life. I hope that the knowledge introduced to you today can help those friends whose cameras are flooded to save their love machines.

I wish you happiness!
