Revolutionary Martyr is the honorific title given by People's Republic of China (PRC) government to those who died heroically in the people's revolutionary struggle to defend the motherland or socialist construction.

According to the interpretation of revolutionary martyrs by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China (19501June 15), those who have really sacrificed for the revolution and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression since the Revolution of 1911 are called martyrs.
