Listen to the girl prototype

The prototype of Listening Girl is a sign language drama performer in Paris, France. Her name is Veronica Pollan. She wrote a book about her growing experience-Silence.

The story of The Listening Girl is actually very simple. It tells the story of a hearing girl who lives and grows up in a family where her parents and brother are deaf. Their family lives by fishing. Because my sister has normal hearing, she goes fishing with her family and goes back to school every day. Although her classmates often make fun of her and make her feel ashamed in front of them, fortunately, her parents and family are harmonious and her brother and sister are United, and the whole family life is still relatively happy.

Until that girl had her own dream and joined the choir because she had a crush on a boy. Chorus practice will inevitably take up a lot of time for girls, so she and her family have many contradictions about choice. The most direct thing is that the girl has to go to the choir to practice for her dream, and her family has to ask her to be an interpreter.

Plot introduction

As soon as Ruby was born, she got a life script in the "difficult" mode. Her hearing is normal, but her parents and brother are deaf, which makes her have no chance to be a "baby" at home. Instead, I worked as a "translator" at home from an early age and assumed family responsibilities too early physically and intellectually.

She loves singing and is gifted, but for her mother, it is like deliberately pulling hatred to compare her physical defects that she can't speak. Growing up, she was laughed at by her classmates in the cold and suppressed grievances.

Because of this unique family background and growing experience, singing has become the only channel for Ruby to express her feelings. When she graduated from high school, she was faced with the dilemma of helping her father manage fisheries or pursuing her dreams. Finally, Ruby amazed the Berkeley Conservatory of Music, and her dream-chasing journey ended in a desirable way.
