A Brief Introduction to the Author in The Long Journey
1952 was born in chiba prefecture, Japan. After graduating from the Department of Economics at Keio University, I went to study in the Department of Wildlife Management at the University of Alaska. 1986 won the 3rd General Social Animal Photography Award, 1990 won the 15th Kimura Wei Award, and 1999 won the special award posthumously awarded by Japan Photography Association. Nineteen-year-old Michio Hoshino accidentally caught a glimpse of the map and report of Alaska in the newspaper at his farmhouse in Xinzhou, and began to look forward to the vast northern land. A few days later, I found an Alaskan photo album in a second-hand bookstore. Frame by frame, like aerial photos of Eskimo towns floating on the desolate Arctic Ocean, directly triggered his desire to capture the scenery of Alaska with a lens, and has since forged an indissoluble bond with Alaska. Since studying at the University of Alaska at the age of twenty-four, Michio Hoshino has been shuttling between mountains, glaciers, forests and tundra for a long time, shooting a lot of natural ecological works. Aurora, mountains, glaciers, tundra, flowers, whales, brown bears, polar bears, elk, reindeer and seals are all his good subjects. Among them, animal photography is famous in the field of nature photography, and many works are permanently collected and displayed by the Alaska government and museums. Michio Hoshino is not only a world-famous nature photographer, but also one of the most popular writers of tourism literature because of his pure and refined writing style. Besides shooting and recording Alaska, Michio Hoshino often gives lectures on ecology, and leads Japanese primary school students to experience the infinite charm of nature on the land and sea in Alaska every summer. 1In August, 1996, the author participated in the Japanese TV program "Shooting Brown Bear" and went to kamchatka peninsula to shoot. However, he was attacked by a brown bear outdoors in the early morning of the 8 th and died unfortunately, which shocked the whole of Japan. The exhibition attracted millions of Japanese people to line up to watch in memory of this national treasure photographer.
