MacDonald, the British High Commissioner in Southeast Asia, praised Jeff's photography art in the preface to The Innocence of the Pagan, saying, "Jeff is a magician in photography, and all his photos are masterpieces." This statement is not flattering.
As for photography, Jeff emphasized that photography, like painting and sculpture, belongs to plastic arts, so everyone should have a perfect composition, not a mess.
From 1945, Jeff often went to Sarawak and other countries in Southeast Asia to take photos of the lives of indigenous people, which was the first time for local photography.
After 1946, Jeff's local photographs were published in the British Straits Times every week. These works are novel in theme, meaningful in style and superb in technology. They are reprinted by newspapers and magazines all over the world, and Jeff is all over the world.
1950 At the beginning of the year, the Singapore Art Association hosted the first Pan-Malaysian Film Festival, and Jeff participated for the first time. As a result, he won the first prize and the second prize with two frames of works, The Secret of Beauty and Morning Prayer. When the results were announced, the audience made a sensation and made him famous. Since then, he has participated in international salons, and his works have been unanimously appreciated by people in eastern and western countries. * * Won more than 200 medals from German, French, Italian, Austrian, British, American, Soviet Union, China, United Nations and other countries, which is undoubtedly a world record.
From 65438 to 0955, Jeff won the title of junior researcher (ARPS) of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) with his outstanding talent and profound attainments in photography. At the same time, he also won the title of Senior Research Fellow (FIBP) of the British Institute of Photography (IBP). Since then, various film art societies have awarded him more than a dozen titles in recognition of his outstanding achievements in photography.
So far, Jeff has published three albums by himself:

The Innocence of the Pagan is Jeff's first album, published in London in 1960, which contains 80 black and white photos. It's a photo of the life of the Daya people in Sarawak, introduced by mcdonnell, the British High Commissioner in Southeast Asia and Jeff's good friend. This is the first book in the history of publication, so it was a sensation after publication and reprinted many times. Other language versions published in France and Switzerland have also been reprinted many times.

It is still the preface of McDonald's, and another friend of Jeff's, Elizabeth, wrote a biography of Jeff. After the album was published, it was once very popular and reprinted many times.

The Lost World published by 1972 is a collection of three people, among which the color photos are mainly Jeff's works. This photo album is illustrated with pictures and texts. In addition to the above three albums, Jeff's works have been published as albums in many countries. Jeff has traveled around the world for more than forty years. Everywhere he went, he took many wonderful photos and was introduced by newspapers and magazines. In addition, the annual edition of the Straits Times and famous photography magazines all over the country often publish special issues of Jeff's works.
Jeff held a joint film exhibition with Mrs Morrison in Shiwu from 65438 to 0948, and has been invited to hold solo film exhibitions in various places. His personal works have been exhibited in Singapore, Malay Peninsula, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Taiwan Province Province, Hongkong and Chinese mainland.
