Customs of Harbin Raiders

Reporter: I plan to travel to Harbin next week. Since last month, I have made all kinds of preparations, such as buying cold-proof clothes, booking air tickets and hotels, and checking travel routes ... I borrowed some books about Harbin from the library, some of which are travel guides, some are historical studies, and some are cultural essays. One of my favorite books is Harbin People, which is a collection of essays that vividly describes Harbin in many themes. I extracted some of these topics, merged them and edited them to form several strategies.

When you travel to a place, you will not only enjoy the beautiful scenery and taste the local food, but also meet the local people, and you can occasionally attend some special festivals. Knowing the local customs in advance can help you know the local customs in advance, get ready and communicate with the local people better.

What is custom? The interpretation of norms is the behavior pattern or norms followed by people in specific social and cultural areas in past dynasties. The word "custom" can be interpreted in two ways: one is that "wind" refers to the difference of behavior norms caused by different natural conditions, while the difference of behavior rules caused by social and cultural differences is called "custom"; In another way, "wind" refers to the national wind, which is dominated by the upper class, and "vulgarity" refers to folk customs, which are circulated among the people. As the saying goes, "different winds in a hundred miles, different customs in a thousand miles" reflects different customs in different places, while "the wind is above and the customs are below" refers to the influence of the top leaders on the people.

The customs of Harbin people, or the characteristics of Harbin people, have three characteristics: love of beauty, generosity and boldness.

Flowers are the most beautiful in the world, and everyone likes them, especially in Harbin. The city flower of Harbin is lilac. After the end of spring, the city's lilacs are competing to open, and the flowers are overflowing and intoxicating. Harbin people like flowers. On the one hand, it is the legacy of Manchu, on the other hand, it is influenced by Russian refugees. So in the early years, there were many flower sellers on both sides of Central Street. Now there are more and more flower shops in Harbin, and there are also flowers specially flown from the south, which are quite popular. In a place where most of the year is cold and bitter in winter, there are so many people who like flowers that it can't be called true love.

Harbin, which loves beauty, naturally has music. As early as 1908, the Russians established the "Far East First Symphony Orchestra" here. Since then, artists from Russia, Germany and Italy have performed their voices here, some performing first-class pianos and some performing operas ... 196 1 year, under the advocacy of the famous coloratura soprano Ms. Zhang Quan. 20 10 was awarded "the city of music-Harbin, China" by the United Nations, and Harbin is well-deserved to be called "the city of music".

Harbin people not only love beauty, but also create beauty. They turned the ice and snow given by heaven into various shapes. From the initial simple small ice lamp, it gradually evolved into a large-scale ice sculpture project made by specialized artists, engineers and workers. The annual ice and snow festival, with ice sculpture competition, ice wedding and ice lamp photography, attracts a large number of tourists to Harbin for sightseeing. The world of ice and snow has become a shining city card in Harbin.

Harbin people have a natural love for "big". The plates in the restaurant are big and heavy. The amount of the same dish is three times that of the south. The staple food is very big. There is a saying called "Harbin bread is like a pot cover", which vividly describes the size of Harbin bread. Steamed bread is as big as four Liang. The early fried dough sticks were very long, the longest being half a meter. Southerners used to feel that they had entered the giant country. Harbin people like to add a word "big" when addressing others, such as "big boy" and "big man"; I also like to put a "big" in front of the staple food, such as "big steamed bread", "big cake" and "big cake".

The weddings and funerals of Harbin people are very ostentatious. Needless to say, there were many guests at the wedding reception. The most obvious performance of ostentation and extravagance is to invite the city's first-class bands to play in front of residential buildings, invite famous singers and singers from all over the province to sing at wedding banquets, and invite famous comedians and crosstalk performers from all over the province to be emcees. Everything costs a lot of money and needs to be transported by car. Funeral is often a dozen or twenty cars, driving at a very slow speed in the city, with black silk and yellow silk in front, which is sad and sad; Funeral banquets are getting higher and higher, with delicacies, chicken, duck and fish, and all kinds of drinks.

Harbin people's biggest impression may be that they are bold and unrestrained. Drinking beer is comparable to that of Europeans, and it is also considered binge drinking. In the dog days, in the pub, two young men, a case of 24 bottles of beer, push a cup for a change, and the bottle bottomed out, which is also common. Drinking a glass of wine is generally a swig, especially when friends come from afar or old friends meet again. More often, it is to drink beer after drinking white wine, and then go to string after drinking. There is no greater happiness in life!

The old saying "a gentleman talks but doesn't do it" doesn't apply here. In Harbin, two people quarrel only for a few words. Some people may use a knife, some people may bleed profusely, and the people next to them may even say hello. "Don't let women have eyebrows". Women here will speak loudly and laugh without restraint on various occasions.

This is also reflected in dressing. You should dress like a bear in such a cold place. However, even in the low temperature of MINUS 30 degrees for three or nine days, young girls can often be seen wearing only a thin velvet tights, a beautiful tweed skirt and high boots on their feet, walking like nothing happened in the cold snow. Harbin people are often proud of their frost resistance and cold resistance, which is the pride in their bones.
