In social activities, the Shaw brothers all like to use words, such as "drunkard" as their eldest brother and "disgraced person" as their second brother. Only Shao Yifu's closest third son usually uses his real name "Ren Mei", although he is called "Shanke".
1930, Runme Shaw and Run Run Run Run Run Run Run Run Run Brothers Company was established in Singapore, operating a number of cinemas and film distribution.
1937 Before the Anti-Japanese War, Shaw owned 1 10 cinemas and 9 amusement parks in Singapore, Malaysia, Guawa and Vietnam, and established a complete film distribution network, dominating the film market in Southeast Asia.
1958, Runme Shaw and his sixth brother Shaw established Shaw Brothers (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. (SB) in Hong Kong.
Runme Shaw, who is mature and steady, complements her sixth brother Yifu, who is highly efficient. It is said that in the early 1970s, a "rebel" named Li Hanxiang asked to return to Bernard Shaw, but Bernard Shaw refused. If it weren't for the third brother's persuasion, I'm afraid it would be difficult for Director Li to make a comeback. Runme Shaw's eloquence is also outstanding. In those days, Bernard Shaw often invited Japanese directors to come to Hong Kong to make films, which was called introducing foreign aid, but in fact it was stealing teachers. At a news conference, the reporter asked questions accordingly. Not embarrassed, the three bosses dismissed them with the words "Hollywood also uses European directors" and praised the director Zhang Che who was present together.
Compared with Shao Yifu's diligence after he was 60 years old, Runme Shaw is willing to delegate power to his brother, son and nephew and enjoy a luxurious life. Of course, wealth does not forget charity. 1957, Runme Shaw also established the Shaw Foundation, which donated money all the year round to help the elderly and care for the poor, and was awarded the title of "Datuk" by the Malaysian Supreme Head of State. Runme Shaw's kindness has a great influence on Shao Yifu. After 1980s, Run Run Run Run extended his "kindness" from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan to the mainland, and many people benefited from billions of dollars in charitable donations.
Unfortunately, nowadays, all kinds of fame and glory belong to Shao Yifu alone. "Best Partner" Runme Shaw died on 1985 at the age of 85.
