Review article

Quanzhou, known as the "Beachside Zoulu", has produced numerous talents in calligraphy, painting and seal cutting in recent years. The author returned here this summer to visit colleagues in the calligraphy, painting and seal cutting circles. I am deeply happy and envious of their achievements in recent years, especially the rising stars of the younger generation who have boldly pioneered new technologies on the basis of inheriting traditional techniques. I have been exploring my own creative path tirelessly and perseveringly, and have achieved gratifying results.

One of them is the young seal engraver Chen Keke. He has already made a name for himself in painting when he was a middle school student. His traditional Chinese paintings have participated in many provincial and municipal exhibitions and were selected to be exhibited in Japan. Later, he went to Guangdong to study, and studied at the Guangzhou Arts and Crafts School and the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He received careful instruction from calligraphers Zeng Jingchong and Lin Ruofu, painters Liu Shengfu, Ye Guoliang and other professors, and his calligraphy, painting and epigraphic works improved day by day. Later, he studied at the Art Department of Fujian Normal University, the Art Department of National Overseas Chinese University, and the watercolor painter You Zunshao's studio. Therefore, he has expertise in Chinese painting, Western painting, arts and crafts design, calligraphy, seal cutting, etc. In recent years, he has become even more obsessed with learning and exploring the art of seal cutting. He pondered day and night, eagerly copied the ancient seals of the Qin and Han Dynasties, and the seals of famous seals of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and modern times. He practiced thousands of works, so he has solid basic skills in seal cutting and proficient knife skills. He has no sectarian views, and his works are either exquisite and elegant or simple and majestic. And uniquely charming. In addition to text seals, Ke Ke is particularly good at portraits and images - whether they are thick and simple, or delicate, clever, elegant and clumsy, they can all be unique, lifelike, and have both spirit and form. Strive to integrate calligraphy, painting, and seal cutting into a small space. His calligraphy and painting works have won many awards in national exhibitions and competitions. His calligraphy and painting works and biographies have been compiled into "A Survey of the Chinese Seal Industry", "A Survey of the Signature Bells and Seals of Famous Chinese Calligraphers and Paintings", "A Survey of the Fine Calligraphy and Paintings of Famous Masters Across the Century", and "Contemporary Survey". Watercolor and Gouache Art", "Contemporary Calligraphy, Painting and Photography Art Ceremony", "Who's Who in Contemporary Art", "Chinese Chen's Calligraphy and Painting Art Expo", "People's Artists", "World Chinese Elite Ceremony" and other books, and published in " "World Journal", "Philippine Times" and other foreign newspapers.

Chen Keke once founded the Ci Tong Seal Society and exchanged ideas with seal cutting colleagues across the country. His "Langhua Collection" seal engravings were well received by famous artists at home and abroad. Now he is employed by the Qiao Xing Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Art Center, specializing in the art of seal engraving. He often makes seals for people at home and abroad. The seals he carved have been widely circulated in Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. Therefore, His fame spread far and wide.

Art has no limits. We hope that Chen Keke will reach a higher level in the art of seal cutting.

"Collection" of "Coco Diary" "The sea is thick In the wine, the flames are in full swing. The land is near Zhangshui, and I live near Kapok Temple. I look at the clouds and laugh at you. I am new to China. "This poem is from Xiamen University. Mr. Li Tuozhi, Professor of the Department of Chinese, gave this letter to my father before his death! Perhaps now, when I am nearly forty years old, I can somewhat understand Mr. Poetry. The husband had already passed away in March 1983. My father, who had suffered two strokes, could not remember his encounter with Mr. Li Tuozhi! But we can see from the poem what kind of deep emotion "literati cherish each other".

This poem describes scenery as well as feelings, and it also writes about things and the sighs in the heart. It is impossible not to let out a long sigh after reading it! My father loved painting when he was young and was very talented. Under the influence of his Indonesian uncle (a famous oil painter), he studied calligraphy and painting with his third uncle. He once held a two-person exhibition of calligraphy and painting between the brothers and was known as the "Young Calligrapher and Painter". Due to historical reasons of "family background", he could not go to the Academy of Fine Arts, so he changed to study literature. During his long-term education work, he still loved art appreciation and criticism. He once participated in national exchange seminars with aesthetic papers, which were well received! In my father's collection, I also saw calligraphy and paintings by writers, calligraphers and painters such as Mr. Feng Zikai, Mr. Wang Shuzi, Mr. Shen Jinshou, Mr. Li Shuoqing, and Mr. Chen Dehong. There is no lack of encouragement and praise for his father. For example, Mr. Feng Zikai drew a cartoon titled "Brave and Diligent" as a gift to his father. The picture shows a young pioneer mounting a horse and galloping on the grassland. This is a tribute to Mr. Feng Zikai’s encouragement. Early calligraphy and painting collections often have a strong emotional color. Because they like and admire the talent and knowledge of this person, they use their works to inspire themselves to work hard on the road of life. Nowadays, calligraphy and painting collection is a matter for rich people. Calligraphy and painting are often auctioned for hundreds of thousands or even millions. But in my opinion, the emotionality of such works has been greatly weakened, and the commodity The meaning has been greatly increased, and works of art with a commercial meaning cannot be compared with works of art with an emotional color! Although, I no longer even have the money to frame those masterpieces that have been targeted by moths. But these are the spiritual treasures my father left to me. They help me understand that only with sincerity and true feelings can I create and appreciate art. The value of art is often related to emotion, whether it is creation or appreciation. This is my superficial understanding of collection.
