Ryu Murakami, Japanese novelist and film director. In 1970, after graduating from high school, he was admitted to an art school in Tokyo to study photography, but was expelled within half a year. Later, he came to the U.S. Army Yokota Base in the Fussa area of ??Tokyo and began his dissolute life. Two years later, Murakami re-entered an art university in Tokyo to study and began literary creation.

In 1976, he published his debut work "Infinitely Approximate to Transparent Blue". Since then, he has become one of the "W Murakami" writers as famous as Haruki Murakami in the minds of Japanese people.
