Love in Cholera Period: Chapter 1: Reading Reflection

I saw the 20 12 version. There are no chapters in the book, but I divided it into six chapters according to the obvious segmentation in typesetting. Today, I share my thoughts on the first chapter.

The first time I read the first chapter blindly, halfway through it, I was confused by the long names of foreigners and the unclear relationship between people. So I went online to search the story outline and writing background, and it would be much smoother to hold it again.

Next, I will briefly sort out and summarize the contents of the first chapter.

Time: A Sunday on Pentecost. Although the first chapter is mixed with previous memories, all the important things described happened on this day. It's a bit like twelve o'clock in Chang 'an. )

Event: The two funerals echoed from beginning to end, but the people who attended the funeral eventually became the owners of the funeral.

Characters:

Key figure: Dr. Hu Weina urbino. (hereinafter referred to as Dr. Lao Wu) expressed disdain for love, but expressed his deep love for his wife in his last sentence. I have a parrot at home. It can speak many languages, listen to music and communicate with people. Finally, because he climbed the ladder to catch the parrot in the tree, he fell down and died.

Age: 80+.

Identity: old aristocrat, descendant of marquis. A respected and skilled doctor.

Education: Returnees studying in Paris.

Political status: maverick liberal, not belonging to any party.

Family members: wife, son and daughter.

Other key roles:

Character 1, Remia De Saint Amor (hereinafter referred to as Amor), a close friend of Dr. Lao Wu and a child photographer. They often play chess and watch movies together. As soon as I appeared, the whole family smelled of bitter almonds (I immediately thought of Princess Bird passing by in Zhen Xuan). Gold cyanide committed suicide, took his dog and left his legacy to his lover. His secret love affair with his lover has never been revealed to outsiders, but they love each other and understand each other.

Character 2, Dr. Rashid Olivier, a favorite pupil of Dr. Lao Wu. On the day of Amor's death, he held a luncheon to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his career. It was stormy that day, the conditions were full, the guests were in a mess, and the host was embarrassed. (By the way, in the article, A Min Ta Dechamps, Mrs. Olivier and A Min Ta De Olivier all refer to his wife. )

Person 3, Fermin Dasa, the wife of Dr. Lao Wu. 72 years old. Born in a civilian family, she is the most beautiful woman in the Caribbean, with outstanding personality and love for flowers and animals. When she was young, her husband provided her with excellent living conditions, and when she was old, she provided her husband with life care. During my marriage, I also had a fierce quarrel over trifles. After my husband was buried, I felt my deep love for him.

Character 4, florentino Ariza, the suitor of Fermin Dasa. The image is helpful, the behavior is steady, and there is a gentle and melancholy temperament. After the death of Dr. Lao Wu, he helped Dr. Lao Wu to maintain order and make suggestions. On the day when Dr. Lao Wu was buried, he expressed his love to his widow and was severely rejected.
