Yongquan Temple, built in 783, is the highest temple in Fujian. From the beginning of the construction, incense was extremely strong, and at its peak, there were more than 1000 monks in the temple. Xichan Temple, located in Yishan, a western suburb, is one of the five major Buddhist forests in Fuzhou. This used to be the place where Wang Ba immortals practiced. In the eighth year of Tang Dynasty (867), Xian Tong was converted into a Buddhist temple "Qing Zen Temple", and later renamed as "Yishan Zen Changqing Temple", which was commonly known as "Xichan Temple" by local people.
