Introduction to Mount Fanjing Self-guided Tour

Fan Jing is a well-known attraction among Chinese Internet celebrities. It represents the highest wisdom and achievements of ancient Chinese ancestors. Everyone here seeks a series of cool visual viewing experiences and marvels at the courage and wisdom of the ancestors on the mountain top. Here, I would like to share with you a detailed play guide.

Take a cable car to see the changes in the jungle from top to bottom. You can also take a deep breath, climb 8,000 steps, hone your will, and enjoy the joy of conquest. Along the way, you can look for Guizhou golden monkeys and pigeon flowers, and have a panoramic view of the three wonders of the main scenic area, Old Golden Summit, Mushroom Rock and Red Cloud Golden Summit.

Recommended travel time

In spring (March-May), April-May, azaleas bloom all over the mountain. This is Fan Jing's most beautiful season. The best photography is also in mid-May.

In summer (June-August), the waterfall is covered with curtains, the deep pool is like a mirror, and deciduous trees and pine trees block the sunlight on the peaks above 1,600 meters above sea level. You can go rafting at the waterfalls of Heiwan River and Taiping River. The precipitation season is concentrated from May to August, and there are often short thunderstorms. If you travel at this time, you should bring an umbrella and thick clothes. If you want a panoramic view, pay more attention to the weather forecast.

Autumn (September-November) seems to have entered a colorful world. As the altitude decreases, various colors such as red, yellow, purple, and green gradually appear. Around the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, the weather is usually sunny, so you can mainly watch the sunrise and sunset and admire the moon.

In winter (December to February), silver snakes dance in the mountains, and the crystal-clear snow scenery sets off Fan Jingshan into a simple landscape painting, which is really beautiful. Winter is also a good time for photography, but it is more difficult and you need to take anti-freezing measures.

The climate at the top of the current location is variable. No matter when, it is best to bring long-sleeved clothes, a light coat in summer, and a thick coat in spring and autumn. Prepare rain gear in summer. The wind is strong on the top of the mountain, so a raincoat is more practical than an umbrella. When climbing mountains in winter, you need to wear quick-drying clothes and fleece jackets. When riding the ropeway to the top of the mountain, you can wear thin thermal underwear or a sports bra and fleece jacket.

What to wear?

Fan Jingshan tickets (tickets, sightseeing fees, cable car fees) total 290 yuan; dining in the scenic spot is expensive, 30-40 yuan/person/meal, but eating A bowl of rice noodles is not expensive and can be solved within 10 yuan. Mountain mineral water costs 5-6 yuan/bottle. Jingshan is a national nature reserve, so there are very few buildings and hotels on the top of the mountain, mainly mushroom stone reception stations and wooden houses; halfway up the mountain, there is the Golden Dragon Hotel in the Huguo Temple. During the Golden Week, all hotels are fully booked, and accommodation in farmhouses near mountain scenic areas costs about 80-100 yuan per standard room.

The entrance to Fanjing Scenic Area departs at 8:30 in the morning, and tourists are prohibited from entering the mountain at 16:30 in the afternoon.

Lao Jinding or Hongyun Jinding is very steep and is supported by iron ropes. It is also suitable for people with heart disease, fear of heights, and the elderly. Please act according to your own physical condition. Wear hiking boots. Girls should not wear high heels.

I plan to go to Fan Jingshan for vacation. I went from Guiyang North Railway Station to Tongren South High-speed Railway Station alone. Next to the exit is the bus station. There is a special tourist line to Fanjing, and tickets are sold directly at the entrance of the scenic spot. Friends who travel by car should also avoid holidays, because you will basically be stuck in traffic jams.

There is a deposit box at the gate. Try to climb as lightly as possible, carrying only necessary items such as cameras, warm clothes, toiletries, etc. Bring some dry food for emergencies along the way. In addition, you can bring some safflower oil to rub it on when you reach the top of the mountain.

There are also some blessings, wishing locks, etc. Surrounded by a golden dome.

After going down the mountain to the county town, the scenery is beautiful and the river is clear, so you can choose to ride. The specialties of Jiangkou are mainly Jiangkou rice tofu and Jiangkou beef jerky.
