How to keep roses longer?

1. After cutting, cut the flower foot again before inserting the flower into the bottle. Because after the perianth is cut off from the plant, it will form a "seal" at the "wound" to protect itself, but the seal is sealed, which will affect the flowers to absorb the water in the vase, and of course the flowers will wither quickly. Moreover, bacteria will accumulate in the "wound" of flowers. So our first move is to cut the flower foot into a 45-degree angle and shorten it by 2-3 cm. On the one hand, the seal is opened, on the other hand, the bacteria are cut off, and the water absorption pipeline of the flower is also unimpeded. Of course, flowers can last longer.

2, second picking, some people think that the leaves of plants are helpful for photosynthesis of flowers, and they are also useful for flowers that cannot be picked in bottles. Actually, this is not right. Because the photosynthesis of the leaves is much weakened after the flowers leave the plant, it is not so necessary. Moreover, too many leaves will also cause the consumption of nutrients and water, which will affect the ornamental time of flowers. At the same time, if the leaves are soaked in water for a long time, it will also cause rot, breed bacteria and affect the flowering period. Therefore, after the flowers are taken home, some leaves should be properly removed, preferably the leaves near the flower feet, which will help to extend the ornamental period of the flowers.

The last resort is to add appropriate preservatives to the flowers. We can choose professional flower preservatives and add them according to the instructions. Different flowers can choose special preservatives, such as roses and lilies, which are very appetizing to flowers. You can also use some common daily necessities to "refuel" flowers. There are two directions for adding preservatives, one is disinfection, and the other is support. We can use 84 disinfectant, detergent, aspirin and alcohol for disinfection, and add some sugar for support. No matter what direction the preservative is, you don't need to add a lot, just a few drops. At the same time, flowers like cool places and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. If you don't use professional preservatives, you'd better change the water every day, so that good roses can have an appreciation period of about a week.

4, keep the temperature of roses not too low, just two or three degrees above zero, in the shade, don't see the sun. Prepare a bucket of clear water (subject to that the whole bunch of tied roses can be put down), put the tied roses away in advance (it is best not to open them, so as not to bloom early), and it is advisable to change the water once a day, and cut the branches every two days (ordinary scissors are enough, and they will be inclined when cutting), and remember to wear gloves, otherwise your hands will be pricked in the eyes and hurt. I tried it last year, and it can be preserved for 2-3 weeks by this method. For a long time, petals often have black edges, which should be cut off or removed with scissors (if there are enough petals).

When the leaves of roses and lilies turn black, the flowers and leaves are blown by wind or cold air. When you buy flowers in the future, remember to wrap not only the flowers, but also the flowers and leaves, preferably in newspapers. Putting some vitamin C in the vase can prolong the life of flower arrangement.

5. Rational use of water is the key to prolong the life of flower arrangement. When arranging flowers, clean river water, rainwater or pond water near room temperature should be used. If tap water is used, it must be stored in a cylinder (barrel) for 1 day before use. At the same time, we should pay attention to changing water frequently, removing residual flowers and leaves in time, and cutting off flower branches appropriately, so as to facilitate the absorption of water and prolong the life of flowers.

6. Submerged pruning method: leave the flower branches long when collecting. After indoor collection, quickly immerse the flower branches in the pot, then cut off a part in the water (pay attention to oblique pruning), and then dare to insert the bottle immediately. Cut flowers bought from the market should be treated in the same way before being inserted into bottles. This method can effectively eliminate and reduce the bubble blockage in the flower stem, improve the absorption ability of the flower branch after it is inserted into the bottle, and prolong the preservation period. In addition, water for flower arrangement is preferably well water and clarified river water. Besides, it's best to put tap water for a day before using it.
