COS is simply an insult to anime

Cos is the love for the original work. . . Just like other people draw fan stories, write fan stories, and make fan props by themselves. . . Only those who truly love a character will create cos. Maybe you think some cos are an insult to the original work. Maybe the cos that the poster saw are not so-called cos. They are just a layer of glamor for people who want to stand out. It's just a dress-up, without any love for the original work, or even having read the original work at all. If what the poster said is what they said, then I agree with what you said. But you have to know that most of them, at least most of the cosplayers I know, don’t seriously study the character’s personality and characteristics, imitate the charm of the character’s expression in the mirror, and go without sleep for several days in order to create a good character? In order to create a good character, what is needed is not what most people think, just a gorgeous appearance is enough! In addition to studying the character itself, what you need is to make your own costumes and props, and practice the character's makeup again and again in front of the mirror. You also need to conceive of scripts and compositions, learn photography/or find a photographer, study the shooting angles together, and learn to post-process and arrange pictures yourself. . . It’s no longer a big deal for characters to wear out-of-season clothes in winter or summer, or to cosplay under the disdainful eyes of others. Do you think you “want to insult a work”, “just for the gorgeousness of the clothes”, and “disrespect the original work”? Can a cosplayer without love do one thing without giving up? What persists in us has always been our love for the work itself! Maybe some people's production is not good enough or original enough, but so what? This love is called an insult by you. I really want to feel unworthy for those cosplayers who never give up.

To say this is like saying that those who like anime collect figures, draw fanfics, make peripherals, write fanfics, and love the works themselves are insulting it! Since the poster raised this question, I believe you also like anime. Please stop liking anime, because this is an insult to anime! 233333
