Most of Haikou's coastal slopes are gentle, the coastline is open and continuous, and the beaches are delicate and white. There are tropical ocean world, holiday beach, Baishamen beach, Xixiu beach, Guangdong-Guangdong railway passage south station pier beach, Dongzhaigang beach, Guilin ocean beach and other coastal scenic spots and amusement areas. There are also a few islands, reefs and beaches in the harbor and offshore. The offshore waters are clear, the wind is light and smooth all the year round, and there are many suitable coastal swimming areas.

Qiongtai Academy is located at No.8 Zhongshan Road, Fucheng, qiongshan district, Haikou, Hainan. It is a scenic spot in Hainan Province and a designated unit for foreign tourism. Kuixing Building of Academy is a key cultural relic protection unit in Hainan Province. Qiongtai Academy was built by later generations to commemorate Qiu Kun, the first talented person in Hainan and a great scholar in Ming Dynasty.
