How to use tripod for mobile phone? Should I take a tripod with me when traveling?

I don't know if you like taking pictures, the wonderful use of mobile tripod! Bian Xiao has only recently fallen in love with the mobile tripod and wants to recommend this useful thing to everyone. But the mobile phone tripod also has obvious shortcomings, especially when traveling, which is particularly troublesome! Travel will be so entangled in whether to bring a tripod, and see how Bian Xiao analyzes this problem.

Tripod is a very useful auxiliary equipment for photography, but it also has an obvious disadvantage: it is bulky and inconvenient to carry, so many people choose not to take it when shooting outdoors.

But in these six situations, a tripod is essential, no matter how heavy it is, otherwise your shooting effect will be greatly reduced, or you can't shoot at all.

1. Super telephoto lens

When shooting some special themes, such as sports events, wildlife, astronomical wonders, etc., you need to use super telephoto lenses, commonly known as "cannons." When using this lens, it is best to use a tripod for the following two reasons:

Safety shutter. As we all know, the safety shutter of a lens is inversely proportional to the focal length. If you hold a super telephoto lens, you need to use a high shutter speed, which will bring other exposure problems.

Weight. Even without considering the safety shutter, the super telephoto lens itself is big and heavy. If you hold it for a long time, you will be very tired and your hands will shake easily. Let's use a tripod to bear its weight.

2. Low light environment

Using tripod can not only stabilize the fuselage to the maximum extent, but also effectively reduce noise and improve image quality by extending exposure time and using the lowest sensitivity.

When shooting sunsets, starry sky and night scenes, this function of tripod is vividly reflected. If you shoot by hand instead of using a tripod, you have to use very high sensitivity, which will make the photo produce very obvious noise and you can't see it at all.

3. Long exposure special effects

Use shutter priority or M-block, and manually set the low-speed shutter. You will use a long exposure time to record the motion track of the object and make the picture full of motion.

Common long-exposure shooting themes include traffic light tracks, flowing water with silk texture, colorful and diverse light paintings, gorgeous star tracks and so on.

The exposure time required for these cool special effects far exceeds the limit time for the human body to "persevere". In order to take clear images, you must use a tripod to provide stable support.

Except for these subjects whose exposure time is long, reaching tens of seconds or even minutes, others only need one second of "quasi-long exposure" special effects, such as zooming, popping up and blurring people. It is best to use a tripod.

4. Stack, HDR and Panorama Patch

The essence of some special shooting techniques, such as stack and HDR, is to take multiple photos and synthesize them on the premise of keeping the framing range completely consistent.

In the process of taking multiple photos, it is difficult to keep the field of vision completely unchanged, especially those subjects who take a large number of photos and last for a long time.

For example, the superposition method often takes hundreds of photos of the still starry sky first, and then synthesizes them later. The shooting process often takes more than half an hour, so a tripod must be used.

When stitching panoramic photos, it is necessary to keep the horizontal height of the camera completely unchanged, so that the photos can be seamlessly connected, which is difficult to complete without a tripod.

5. Macro photography

The subject of macro photography is often very small, the depth of field is extremely shallow, and the focal plane is easy to shift, which requires accurate control of the focal plane. Every time you focus, you have to work hard.

You need to manually twist the diagonal ring and use the LCD screen live view magnification function as a reference to complete a focus.

If you don't get on the tripod, you may just shake your hand a little, and the distance from the lens to the subject will change, and the focal plane will not know where to go and have to refocus.

6. Creative selfie

You don't have to use a selfie stick to take a selfie. You can choose more angles and play better creativity by taking selfies with your camera.

You can calmly set up the camera, complete framing and composition, adjust the shooting parameters, set them up, and then pose in various designed postures at the predetermined shooting position.

"Wait, creative selfie, it seems that you don't need a tripod, just put the camera on a stable platform?"

Yes, but without a tripod, your shooting angle will be greatly limited by the objective environment. We can only find a stable platform first, and then take a flat shot from the height of the platform.

If you use a tripod to fix the position, you can create more freely: high-position overhead, low-position overhead, multiple positions and multiple angles for you to choose!

In fact, the biggest core point of this problem is that if you fully understand the tripod, you will not be entangled, and you will have a better choice on the basis of full understanding, so that the entangled heart will gradually become flat!
