How to get to Phuket? Phuket travel guide

In fact, the traffic in Phuket is also a problem that everyone must pay attention to. There will be many unknowns in Thailand tourism. You don't know what you will encounter, just be careful, traffic may help you a lot.

How to get to the place where you live when there is traffic jam at the airport?

Most tourists live in Patong, Karen and Kata, and some live in Phuket. So generally speaking, the transportation to these places is the most convenient.

1, shuttle bus.

The shuttle bus in Phuket is really extremely backward, and the interval of 1 hour or more is neither early nor late, which is the least recommended choice! 150 baht for one person. There is no advantage except cheap, but in fact, cheap is not its advantage, so friends should give up the shuttle bus!

Minibus.

As soon as you get out of the airport, you can see many counters that say Minibus &; Taxi. A mini car that can sit down and leave.

The bus can be delivered to the hotel as long as 180 baht. I really can't think of any reason to take the shuttle bus, but Mini

The problem with buses is that if people are not satisfied, they must wait. If a person has two pieces of luggage, they will charge a baggage fee of 100 baht. The minibus also has 1 slot: it will stop at a store to promote local tourism!

Taxi.

The taxi from the airport to Badong actually costs 800 baht. I can only think of two words: rob money ~~ ~ someone ~ ~ steal (wide), steal (positive), touch (big) and have a look at the price list. This is as recommended as the shuttle bus.

4. Book a car in China in advance.

Personally, I think it's very convenient. There are many on Taobao, and the price is similar, which is much cheaper than calling a taxi on the spot! If it is a multi-person trip, this is the best choice. I made a reservation in advance when I first went to Phuket. Turn left at the airport, and you will immediately see Taobao shops of many domestic brands, or hold a piece of A4-sized paper with your pinyin written on it. Finding that person is equivalent to finding a car.

I have been to Phuket twice, and the way to get out of the airport is to book a good car (4 people travel) and a minibus (1 person travel) in China. I lived in Badong Beach twice.

Regarding airport traffic, my personal suggestions are:

1) If there are many business trips, you can book a pick-up on Taobao. Although Taobao is not cheap, it is much cheaper than calling a car! Many people are also cost-effective.

2) When you book a car pick-up machine in Taobao, you must book a special person to pick up the car, instead of the driver waiting for you to pick up the car in the parking lot. In short, choose a reliable store.

3) 1 person, 2 or 3 people can choose the minibus, but only during normal daytime hours. Although it will stop to promote sales, it won't take long.

4) If you arrive in Phuket at night, you must book the pick-up first, otherwise you can call a taxi at the airport with tears in your eyes. Now there is a carpool on Taobao snail status, which is specially prepared for the evening. I don't understand this, because I arrived at night and just threw a brick ~

5) It costs 700 baht to take a taxi from Badong Beach to the airport, so please book a ticket from Taobao.

Writing about local traffic is nothing more than writing about the traffic between the airport and various places, because I want to spend a day wandering around the island and go to some famous scenic spots, so I have planned it in advance.

But the traffic in Phuket is really! Yes! Very! Expensive! I will ask the roadside driver how much it costs to go to xxx if nothing happens. Balabala's chat ~ It costs 400 baht, or 80 RMB, just to go from Badong to Karen Beach. My heart focused on asking a few Tuk Tuk and taxi drivers respectively, all at the same price, or at a price, without bargaining.

In the spirit of writing good travel notes, I summed up some recommended places, how to get there, the way, the cost and the time. I only went to these places in May, so the information is up-to-date, true and effective ~

What are the places worth visiting?

The little map expert is me! Too many people praised my map for being rough but easy to understand in the Travel Notes of Krabi before, so I'm going out again this time! You can recommend the following parts as scenic spots, haha.

The map is a map of China that I took at the airport, and it has been slightly processed.

PS: When you go through the customs at the airport and walk to the exit, you will see a shelf full of maps, which are actually brochures. The best places are Chinese, English, Russian, Japanese and Korean versions!

It takes 40 minutes from Badong to Shenxian Peninsula. It takes 40 minutes from Badong to Phuket Buddha.

It takes 50 minutes from Badong to Chalong Temple. It takes 40 minutes from Patong to Phuket Town.

It takes 20 minutes to get to the Giant Buddha from Shenxian Peninsula. It takes about 15 minutes from the Giant Buddha to Chalong Temple. It takes about 20 minutes from Chalong Temple to the Central Department Store.

It doesn't look like a long distance from the map, but it basically takes 20 minutes by car, all because the curve is not easy to walk ~

Asking about the price of chartered cars around the island. Many cars told me that 1500 baht goes back to four places on the map for eight hours a day. Personally, I think it's really not expensive, 300 RMB for 8 hours, in a place with expensive transportation like Phuket! But! My little friend told me (it was an old friend I met in Phuket at that time. What a coincidence! ), these will take you to the shopping point, even if you don't shop. Although I didn't try, I believe I will take it to the shopping spot, just like the Mini that drove away from the airport.

So is the bus.

Finally I booked a car on Taobao. The most surprising thing is that the driver is actually Chinese in Thailand and his Chinese is very good. He should be 50 years old. He feels older than my dad and is very nice. He will explain many things to me along the way. But personally, I think these explanations are unnecessary, haha. Just a gain in knowledge ~

Driving mode:

The bus in Phuket belongs to right-hand drive, and the road is left. Like Japan, Hong Kong and Britain. Exactly the opposite of us.

vehicle

1. Tug car

The traffic in Phuket is quite expensive.

The basic transportation on the island depends on the sudden car (picture found online)

We took a taxi back to Kata Beach from the new market in Lavai Sea at the southernmost tip of the island, at 500 baht (500 baht per car, not counting the head).

Taking a taxi from the hotel to Shenxian Peninsula is also about 500-600 baht, and there is no bargaining. The driver will come up with a form that clearly shows how much it will cost to go to various places.

There is no room for bargaining at all. Leave as soon as you bargain. Who agrees to bargain? Come out and let's talk.

A few friends travel together, and taking the train is your first choice. Because a car can seat 5-6 people at most, and a big car can seat 7-8 people. Counting down a person is only a dozen or twenty RMB, which is still a good deal. But it is not suitable for small couples or groups with few people.

Rent a motorcycle

I was completely scared by reading too many posts before I went, so I didn't rent a motorcycle this time.

However, I met a young couple on Emperor Island and made an appointment to have dinner together after returning to the island. The type of room they reserved is gone. The hotel sent them motorcycles for two days to apologize, and he asked us for two more, hahaha.

So, I still experienced it.

But I haven't ridden it in China, so I haven't. My colleague rode it.

Little friends who have ridden in China can still choose.

In terms of price, the rent is 200-250 baht a day, excluding oil charges. Generally, you can fill up 100 baht by yourself, at least you can open 1 week. If you drive around the island continuously, there is no problem.

However, because people drive on the left, everyone must pay attention. It is easy to drive to the right.

Tips:

1. Check the car body before renting a car. Be sure to try the throttle and brake! If there is any damage or paint loss, it should be confirmed with the merchant. It's best to take photos to avoid future disputes.

2. Thailand drives on the left. There are more motorcycles, and the speed will be faster. Everyone should pay attention to keep the speed and pay attention to safety.

3. Be sure to wear a helmet. Generally a car is equipped with two helmets. If you don't wear a helmet, you will be fined by the police.

Don't gamble on your passport, but you must gamble on your money. Because there are many cases of losing passports because of renting motorcycles. I'm too anxious to come back.

run about

Because I also looked up a lot of strategies in advance, I decided to book the shuttle bus to peach treasure in advance. One-way transfer is about 100 RMB. I booked a lazy cat to travel home, so everyone can choose for themselves.

After booking the hotel first, just send the address and name of the hotel, flight number of the plane and other information to the seller. Someone will get off the plane and wait at the airport gate.

I want to say a few more words here:

Although it was booked in peach treasure, China, it was contracted to a local travel agency for shuttle service.

First of all, after you leave the airport, whether you are traveling in a lazy cat, flying in the waves, or anything else, you are waiting for the bus in one place. The place where they wait for the bus is the person they meet, not the driver. You have to tell the people you meet before they can help you contact the driver, so you have to find them yourself and urge them to help you contact the car.

Believe me, no matter which company picks up the plane, it's still waiting here. The scene is rather chaotic. When I arrived in Phuket that day, it was already 1-2 o'clock in the evening, and I had been waiting for an hour with the elderly and children.

So hurry yourself, they won't take the initiative to find you.

It took 20 minutes to go through the customs and more than 20 minutes to wait for the bus. I was urged four times during the period.

Similar receptionists at the airport can speak a little Chinese, but only for simple communication. English is also very general, and they can't answer complicated questions.

After receiving it, you should confirm with the driver again with your own hotel confirmation form, and navigate by yourself with Google Maps on the road to avoid making mistakes or delaying the travel time due to communication problems.

tip

Phuket is tipping, which is different from Japan and South Korea.

Basically, you have to tip for renting a car, staying in a hotel and eating.

In principle, it is about 20 baht, and then don't tip steel coins, because coins are for beggars.

If you don't want to give it, you can stop them from helping you with your luggage and things as soon as you come up. It's normal not to.
