Second, Shenzhen Dapeng Suocheng Dapeng Suocheng was built in the 27th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1934), which was a coastal defense military fortress in southern China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Shenzhen is now called "Pengcheng" from here. During the Ming Dynasty, there were many famous soldiers here, such as military generals Liu Zhong and Lai, "three generations and five generals", so it also had the reputation of "General Village".
Today's Dapeng City still retains antique gates, towers, ancient streets and ancient houses. You can see many former generals' houses and cultural relics related to coastal defense here, which is a good place to understand modern military history.
