What materials do you need to visit relatives in Australia?
1. Form 48R filled in English and signed by the applicant. If someone else fills in the form, you must accept the content and take full responsibility for it. If the application belongs to category 679 (guaranteed travel/family visit category), the 48S form must be filled in English and signed by the applicant.
2. A complete English family member form signed by the applicant. All relatives must fill in the form 54, please indicate the deceased, and the rest must provide their addresses regardless of whether they live in Australia, China or other countries.
3. The application fee is 420 yuan RMB. The application fee can be remitted by postal remittance.
4. A valid passport and two 2-inch photos taken in the last 6 months, one of which should be posted on the 48R form or the 48S form.
5. Item 24 of Form 48R and Item 27 of Form 48S are about the employment situation. If you are currently working, please provide your company's leave slip. If you haven't left your work unit, but you haven't officially gone to work at present, such as waiting for retirement, long-term sick leave, waiting for work or being laid off, please explain in detail in the column of "Other" and provide relevant certificates issued by your unit.
6. Address: Please provide the applicant with more than three effective Chinese contact address stickers.
7. Invitation letters provided by Australian relatives and documents proving their Australian immigration status, such as certified copies of Australian passports, Australian citizenship cards or Australian visas.
8. Materials proving the employment status of the inviter and/or his spouse, including employment and salary certificates or payslips provided by the employer.
9. Proof of funds for the inviter and himself to bear the travel expenses. The materials submitted must reflect past deposit records, not just recent deposits. Acceptable materials include the guarantor's bank deposit slip, tax bill or payroll, as well as his own bank deposit slip, real estate license or other proof of capital and property. Please submit a copy of the document, not the original. If a copy is not provided, the original will not be returned.
Applicants under the age of 10 and 18 should also provide a copy of their parents' consent and their parents' ID cards.
Please note: all applicants who apply to stay in Australia for more than 3 months need to have X-ray examination in the hospital designated by the Australian Embassy or Consulate. The visa office will notify the applicant to have an X-ray examination when processing the application.
2. If the application is for category 679 (guaranteed travel/family visit), please note that this type of visa only allows the applicant to stay in Australia for no more than 3 months and cannot be extended. In addition to the above materials, the following materials shall be provided:
1. Form filled out by guarantor 1 149.
2. If the guarantor is a relative, please provide a notarization of kinship.
Please note: the applicant's friend or fiance (wife) can't be the guarantor of Class 679.
No matter which category you apply for, if you are over 70 years old, you must:
1. Prepare to go to the hospital designated by the Australian Embassy and Consulate for physical examination. If you apply to stay in Australia for more than 3 months, you need to have an X-ray examination. The visa office will notify the medical examination in the process of processing the application.
2. Provide personal health insurance during your stay in Australia. Insurance can be travel insurance or medical insurance. The guarantor can contact the insurance.
3. In addition, provide four two-inch photos taken in the last six months.
